The Green Building is a wedding venue located in Brooklyn, New York. Constructed in 1889, the building was initially a brass foundry. Since then, it has been restored into an elegant event space with modern renovations while still embracing its original features. Located in the heart of the borough, it offers couples a chic and industrial, yet intimate venue for their special day.

Facilities and Capacity

Since its reopening in 2010, The Green Building has hosted some of Brooklyn’s most stylish weddings, concerts, and smaller gatherings. It contains more than 6,000 square feet of combined indoor and outdoor space for couples to use for their celebration. The spacious main room can be adjusted to suit the size and aesthetic of all events. Chandeliers and dimmed pin lights will create a warm ambience no matter the time of day or season. Its 17-foot-tall exposed beam ceilings and authentic brick walls showcase the building’s original designs, and its floor-to-ceiling glass doors open up to the courtyard. Outside, the 2,400-square-foot courtyard allows the newlyweds and their loved ones to dine and dance in the open air. This rooftop area features a custom-built mobile bar and patio furniture, and can be tented for weather uncertainties. For additional space or a get-ready suite, couples are welcome to use the private lounge which is adjacent to the main room.

Services Offered

The staff at the Green Building strive to create a truly unique wedding experience for you and your guests. When hosting your celebration, a private events manager, venue coordinator, operations manager, and host will be there to support you each step of the way. On the day, the operations manager will oversee the vendors, as well as the setup and cleanup of the event. Depending on your desired layout, tables and chairs with various shapes and designs can be provided. Outside vendors are welcome to prepare cuisine in the venue’s prep area which contains a refrigerator and commercial-grade oven. The venue’s preferred caterers are familiar with the event space and are happy to deliver delicious food to your wedding. You and your guests can enjoy beverages throughout the night at the Carrara marble-top bar inside or out in the fresh air. There are several bar packages to select from, including the Brunch Bar, Beer + Wine, or Ultra Luxe options. To suit your entertainment plans, staging platforms are available, as well as an in-house sound system that is installed throughout the indoor and outdoor spaces. The large wall-mounted projector can be used to play a slideshow of special images or a short film during the reception.
