We could not have chosen a better venue for our wedding reception! Gianna and staff were amazing throughout the entire wedding process, to the point that our guests were telling us that they have never seen service of that caliber at a wedding before.Sent on 09/06/2018
On top of the great service, we had guests tell us that the food was the best that they have ever had at a wedding (we served the filet and salmon). The portions, timing of each course, and the presentation were all above and beyond expectations.
The space itself is a perfect mix of character and class, where you can customize your wedding to whatever aesthetic you'd like.
Overall, The Commons was the perfect place for us to get married, and if we could do it all over again, we would choose The Commons over and over again for our wedding day.
The Commons 1854's reply:This means the world to us. Thank you so much for your kind review, Francesca!

End your search here!
The Commons 1854 was truly the best ever. Kristi and Gianna were helping us every step of the planning process, but what they executed on our wedding day was truly magical. Everything ended up where it needed to be, and we didn't think or worry about a thing (truly). The food was top notch, the ballroom is a simply amazing when it is all set up, and the wait staff/bartenders couldn't be more pleasant. And then there is Gianna - always with a smile but getting EVERYTHING done at once. I can't imagine loving another venue any more! They made our dreams a reality, and we will never forget it. 11/10 would recommend!Sent on 09/17/2019

Simply the best. Because they care.
I must start out saying that The Commons was simply the best. We went through probably 20 places before we visited The Commons and as soon as we left, we knew that was the place we had to choose. The venue was the perfect balance of beauty, class and functionality, and Kristi really topped it off. She just had such a happy and bubbly personality that she got us excited about everything again (again this was the last of like 20 places, so we were exhausted at this point). She went over all the different options and made everything easy to understand. We knew we had the right place, but we didn’t REALLY know until the actual wedding day.Sent on 08/06/2019
Our wedding took place on the hottest and most humid day in July.
As soon as we arrived Gianna was there ready to take care of us. She got us cold drinks and food as quickly as we asked, and she even got us and the wedding party cool damp towelettes to help keep us cool which really helped when we were taking pictures outside. And I really must emphasize that every one of the staff was amazing. They were all so nice and friendly and funny so when you asked for anything it was almost as if you were asking a good friend to get you something.
And the real testament of how great this place is that even now, 3 weeks later, we have family and friends telling us how great everything was at the venue. Everyone raved about how great the food was, how great the staff were and how beautiful everything was.
This place is by far the best place for a wedding.
The Commons is one of those magical venues that wedding dreams are made of! When I first saw it, I was a little girl, maybe 13 years old at most - a couple of years after they first opened their doors as a wedding venue. I wanted to have my wedding there! Although that never came to fruition, I am delighted to have both attended several weddings and photographed an amazing wedding at The Commons as a professional photographer. The service is wonderful and they truly go out of their way to create an impeccable experience for each couple! I highly recommend this venue, it's one of the absolute best on the North Shore!
I have so many brides that have gotten married here and are getting married there this year. I love living so close by because I get to see so many getting married outside as well! They do an amazing job!
We see a lot of venues, and a lot of staff and event managers and this is one area that sets The Commons apart from the competition. Let's say you looked past the stunning event space, the amazing grounds, and the magazine perfect setting. The next thing you would find is one of the most detail oriented and courteous groups of people I've had to pleasure of working with. Starting with the event managers and all the way through to the bar staff, everyone always has a smile on their face and I always see them laughing and enjoying what they do to help families and guests on a special day. Specifically, I have worked a dozen times with Johanna and she is simply amazing. My grandfather used to tell me to always plan and be two steps ahead. I can tell you that he would love Johanna because if the average person is two steps ahead, Johanna is 10 steps ahead! You can not go wrong with this venue and staff and we highly recommend them.
