A historic wedding venue in Charlottesville, Virginia, Clifton Inn provides a beautiful setting for couples tying the knot. Established in 1983, the venue services couples throughout Charlottesville, Alexandria, Richmond and Washington D.C. Facilities and Capacity
Accommodating up to 300 guests, Clifton Inn offers 10 spacious event spaces in which couples may host their ceremony and/or reception.

Clifton Inn provides lodging in the form of 17 individually appointed rooms and suites, each of which feature fresh fruit, bottled water and a bottle of Madeira wine, one of Thomas Jefferson’s favorites.

Originally a part of 2,400 acres granted to William Randolph in 1735, the land on which Clifton Inn rests was passed to Thomas Mann Randolph then shortly thereafter to Thomas Mann Randolph, Jr., the Governor of Virginia and member of the U.S. Congress and Virginia House of Delegates.
Nestled at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Clifton Inn is located on Route 250 East, approximately 15 minutes from both downtown Charlottesville and the University of Virginia.
