Steeple Hall at Mission Oak Grill is a historic venue located steps from Newburyport Harbor in Newburyport, Massachusetts. Formerly a Baptist church, this unique space features stained-glass, floor-to-ceiling windows, cathedral ceilings and cathedral lanterns. They recently underwent a major renovation to include new flooring, fresh paint, and a beautifully updated bar, but made sure to keep the historic details in tact. Steeple Hall at Mission Oak Grill provides a dedicated event staff to make sure your wedding is stress-free.
Facilities and Capacity
Couples can accommodate up to 180 guests at this elegant venue. They offer a gorgeous Grand Ballroom perfect for your ceremony or reception. It features cathedral details dating back to 1805. Steeple Hall is located on the second floor of the restaurant Mission Oak Grill. Couples may also choose the main dining room for their celebration, which features rich wood tones and warm leather throughout.

An amazing experience
A Gem of a Venue!
Nik has the gift of helping everyone feel comfortable and kept me calm knowing everything was under control.
The day of our wedding, Nik and his team didn’t miss a step. They went above and beyond for us, attending to all the little details, and keeping everything running smoothly. My guests all commented on the beauty of the venue (they handled the set up of the decor and the room looked so pretty) and the incredible food. It is cooked in the restaurant onsite, and they were able to easily add apps as my guests came hungry. People are still raving about those Lamb Lollipops!
Newburyport is a great location for a wedding weekend and Steeple Hall is in walking distance to the waterfront. Couldn’t recommend it enough!
The Most Perfect Day
From our first meeting with Nik, to the day after our wedding when we said goodbye, he made us feel like we were the only couple he was working with. Nik coordinated seamlessly with our other vendors (florist, music, transportation, dessert catering, calligrapher) and made sure that anything behind the scenes was taken care of. He answered every email I sent throughout the process promptly, and often assured me that everything would be taken care of - which it was (this is coming from a Type A bride)!
Once again, I cannot stress enough how perfect the day went. Nik was there for us every step of the way, making sure that we ate our appetizers from cocktail hour, and drinking our signature drinks!
Days after our event, guests were still talking about how amazing the food was and how perfect of a setting Newburyport, MA was (we got married in late October). We cannot recommend this venue enough - it brings tears to our eyes every time we reflect on our special day. Thank you times a million to Nik and his staff!

I worked with the team, led by Ashleigh and Kristen, in late September and it was a fulfilling experience. Their cooperation and hospitality made my job a lot easier and made me feel welcome and what is one of the top venues in the North Shore. Based on my observations, everything went off smoothly and in a timely fashion. The bride and groom along with all of their family and friends had such a memorable time!
