My partner and I eloped from Melbourne Australia to NYC to get married and Sophie graced us with her presance on our special day. She did both myself and my sister’s hair and make up and did it to an exceptional level. She understood exactly the look we were going for and both my sister and my hair stayed that way through the wintery windy New York streets to town hall, during the hours of photos and into the evening. Pure perfection. But the thing I want to call out the most is her beautiful warm presance on the day, how she chatted to us and brought amazing positivity and energy. She also took such wonderful care of everyone getting ready with us that day. Every single person she worked with was so happy with how they looked and, most importantly, still felt like themselves.

I hired Sophie Moiseeva and her team for my hair and make up for my August wedding. After two devastating (not being dramatic!!) hair and make up trials, I was feeling exhausted and very anxious about how I'd look on my wedding day. I do not wear make up and I prefer a very natural look to both my hair and my face. I also have extremely thick, curly hair and it's very challenging to find someone who knows how to work with it.

During my consult call with Sophie, I instantly felt soothed, reassured, and connected. She took the time to look at my previous trials and what went wrong and she promptly scheduled a trial with one of her team members.

This brings me to Anna!!! It was such a joy working with her. She was extremely attentive to detail and went above and beyond to listen to my needs and to make sure I felt totally confident leaving the trial. She did an excellent job with both my hair and make up and all my stress instantly alleviated. Sophie stopped by the trial and was so genuinely kind and supportive.

For the actual wedding day, Anna and her team mate Olga made all of our dreams come true with their skills, patience, and kindness! It felt relaxing to have them around and we all felt we were in good hands. I had a lot of anxiety about frizz because I have very curly hair and was getting married in August. Anna and I had planned a slick back to ensure that I didn't have to worry about my hair but the day of the wedding, I changed my mind and wanted to rock my curls. Anna was flexible and willing to make the change then worked with me diligently to ensure that my curls looked exactly the way I wanted them. I did not have to think twice about my hair or make up for the entire (hot and humid) day and night. As someone with hair that most professionals cannot manage, and a revulsion against heavy make up, I cannot recommend Anna (and likely all of Sophie's team) enough!!!! I felt like an elevated version of myself, which is exactly how I wanted to feel on my wedding day. Their team is truly a dream come true. Thank you Sophie, Anna, and Olga!!

Sophie is a master of her craft. If you are in NYC looking for a hair and makeup artist seriously look no further. Sophie was super professional and responsive leading up to my trial and wedding day. The makeup trial was honestly one of my favorite parts leading up to my wedding - Sophie's studio is so beautiful and she has so many refreshing beverages and snacks for you to enjoy while you are getting glammed. I couldn't believe how good my makeup and hair looked after the trial, but somehow my hair and makeup looked EVEN BETTER on my actual wedding day. Also, Sophie is such a calming presence and is so sweet and easy to talk to. She literally brought me flowers on my wedding day - I was beyond words. I have a lot of insecurities about my acne prone skin but Sophie was able to make my complexion look flawless yet so natural (I got so many compliments on my makeup) and my makeup lasted all night (until 5am!!). It was THE PERFECT balance of glam and natural "soft bridal" glow that I was wanting and it also looked perfect in photos in all types of lighting. I am usually super insecure and worried about how my foundation/bronzer looks in natural light and it seriously looked perfect, like I had no notes. Sophie is also a MASTER at hair... I couldn't have been happier with how may hair looked IN EVERY SINGLE PHOTO from every angle. I felt so beautiful and confident on my wedding day thanks to Sophie. She understood my vision immediately. I should also mention that Sophie's entire team is amazing. One of my bridesmaids told me that she used the makeup Sophie's team did on her as the inspiration photo she showed her MUA on her own wedding day. My bridesmaids all looked incredible. I cannot thank Sophie and her entire team enough. I would recommend Sophie without reservation to every single bride - she is the best.

From the initial phone call, she had such a refreshing approach to wedding hair & makeup, and I truly appreciated her transparent pricing (especially since so many vendors make finding pricing so complicated!). I wanted a natural but elevated look for my wedding day hair & makeup and had loved the example photos/videos I had seen on Instagram. I was not disappointed! Sophie had excellent communication throughout the planning process, with an easy-to-use portal and helpful questionnaires about wedding day timeline and trial preferences that helped me organize my thoughts. She did a phenomenal job of making adjustments after the trial and truly took my feedback into account, making the look match my vision even more for the actual wedding day. Both the hair & makeup held up wonderfully throughout multiple hours of rain/humidity, photos, and dancing. Mariana and Carol also did such an incredible job with the hair/makeup for my bridesmaids – everyone was so happy with their looks! Highly recommend Sophie and am very happy with my decision!
