My partner and I eloped from Melbourne Australia to NYC to get married and Sophie graced us with her presance on our special day. She did both myself and my sister’s hair and make up and did it to an exceptional level. She understood exactly the look we were going for and both my sister and my hair stayed that way through the wintery windy New York streets to town hall, during the hours of photos and into the evening. Pure perfection. But the thing I want to call out the most is her beautiful warm presance on the day, how she chatted to us and brought amazing positivity and energy. Sophie did my hair and makeup on both my wedding day and wedding party the following night. I had very different visions for both days, and she absolutely nailed them both.

I truly felt like the most beautiful version of myself; her ability to highlight my natural features while still executing the vision I hoped for was incredible.

Hair and makeup skills aside, Sophie is also the most calm, genuine, and kind hearted soul. She made me feel so relaxed on my wedding day and I feel like we became friends by the end of the weekend.

I cannot recommend Sophie enough. I was not worried at all about acne on my wedding day when I first booked Sophie, and had let her know I had a pretty clear complexion. Well...stress of wedding planning + using a product that irritated my skin resulted in one of the worst break outs of my life. My confidence was destroyed right before the wedding. I let Sophie know and she put me at ease that it would not be an issue. Doing a trial was so helpful because I was able to figure out what products irritated my skin before the big day. When I saw my makeup the morning of my wedding, I was truly amazed. My skin looked INCREDIBLE. I went from being extremely self-conscious and worried about photos to feeling like the most beautiful version of myself and not worried about a thing. I went into my photos confidently and didn't have to worry about my makeup or skin once!! Also, I have naturally grey hair, which can be kind of unruly, but Sophie made my hair look incredible. Even after sweating on the dance floor for hours, my hair still looked great.

I had looked for a hair & makeup artist for so long, really worried that I would never find someone who would be able to make me feel like ME the day of my wedding. I don't love heavy makeup, and I wanted a hairstyle I haven't really seen anyone do before...but Sophie worked with me and kept everything looking so natural and just so me! I really just felt like the best version of myself.

Since I usually don’t wear much makeup, I was feeling nervous and unsure about the style, but she gently guided me through everything and made me feel comfortable. The makeup looked beautiful, yet still very much like me, which gave me so much confidence on the big day.
