While pursuing a degree in accounting at Loyola Marymount University, Holly knew there was something missing. Never one to settle, Holly decided to pursue a career in wedding coordination. In her senior year at LMU, after persistence, she landed an internship with celebrity wedding planner, Mary Dann and fell in love with the business. Under the wing of one of the most sought-after wedding planners in Southern California, paired with her experience managing a small event site in San Juan Capistrano, Holly learned the ropes of the industry and soon decided to start her own practice. With an education in business, experience in luxury events and a passion for pleasing her clients, Holly has mastered all aspects of the planning process efficiently. Melissa was over and above the best thing that happened to us when planning our daughter's wedding. She was always there during the planning stages with vendor recommendations, decoration ideas and all around great advice. She was even more amazing on the day of the wedding. She made everything happen with such ease and grace and we were all able to just enjoy the day. All the details were carried out and handled to perfection. We threw our daughter's wedding 7 years ago and how I wish we would have known about Melissa then.
Every detail was taken care of by either her, or her staff, under Melissa's direction. Melissa worked diligently with each and every vendor making sure that everything went extremely smooth, which it did.
When ever there was a situation that may have come up, Melissa had a solution. Her calm, loving, patient, kind, compassionate and talented demeanor was a gift to all of us especially the bride and groom.
If you are thinking you can handle all this on your own, and you've got this, I'd say you might want to rethink it...
Hands down Melissa was worth every penny and more for what they did. They are worth their weight in gold.
My husband and I have thrown numerous large parties, hosted huge holiday events and thrown a wedding for 250 people at our home for our daughter. Hands down this wedding for our son, where Melissa was in charge was a dream come true.
I actually got teary when I was able to leave the venue at 12:30am along with the last guests, while leaving all that still had to be done up to Melissa, her team and all the other vendors. I've never been able to walk away at the end of a party that we've been a part of throwing, while there was so much still to take care of and shut down. I was able to get on our shuttle back to our hotel with complete peace and joy in knowing that everything was taken care of. It was a beautiful thing to behold...

Having a wedding at Saddlerock Ranch is a bit more complicated because you have to bring everything yourself, including rentals, power, catering, etc. Throughout the entire planning process, Melissa was extremely responsive, organized, and made you feel like your wedding was the only one she was working on or cared about. She is one of the kindest women and has a positive attitude to make you always feel at ease. I have to say I didn't once feel stressed about planning because I knew everything was in good hands.
I don't understand how Melissa and her team do it, but honestly, my whole wedding day felt like magic. The timeline was always on time or even ahead of schedule and if an issue arose her team would handle it in a calm manner with a smile on their face (something I could never do!). For example, I left my veil at the hotel room (30 minute drive roundtrip) and Hailey delivered it to me 5 minutes before I was supposed to walk down the aisle.
All my guests, including myself, groom, and family were all out of there at the end time @ 12 a.m. and her team stayed until at least 2 a.m. breaking down.
Melissa and her team were worth every penny and if I ever have to plan a large event in the future they are at the top of my list!
