All of the Short and Sweet Weddings Officiants tailor the language and tone of each ceremony according to each couple's desires and personality. Short and Sweet Weddings has been designing and conducting personalized, heartfelt wedding ceremonies in the Austin area, Texas Hill Country, and surrounding areas for over thirteen years! Almost all wedding venues and experienced coordinators in the Austin area have had the pleasure of working with one of these amazing officiants!

All of the officiants on the Short and Sweet Weddings team have been trained and trained (did I tell you they're trained?) to conduct a ceremony that is professional and personal at the same time. This is super important to us! We do not ask you to choose a prewritten script where your names are simply plugged in; where's the personalization in that?!
Services Offered
Short and Sweet Weddings' ministers gladly create customized vows for interfaith, single-religion, or non-religious weddings (or vow renewals!). There is an Officiant on the team ready for a tiny elopement -OR- a full-formal wedding -OR- anything in between!
You are more than welcome to consult with one or more of the Officiants on the team so you can discover which one is best for your personality and style. Short and Sweet Weddings wants your special day to be everything you imagined, which is why we encourage you to share all your ideas, visions, and fears about the Big Day!

A Night at the Museum
Alby was truly one of the highlights of our wedding at the Texas Science and Natural History Museum. From the start, it was clear she genuinely cared about telling our story in a way that felt authentic and completely us.
During the ceremony, she captured us so beautifully. Every word felt thoughtful and personal, like she had known us for years. She balanced heartfelt moments with just the right touch of humor, and our guests kept telling us how much they loved it. It felt intimate, engaging, and unforgettable.
What really stood out was how Alby set the tone for the whole day. She created such a warm, joyful atmosphere that made everyone feel connected and present. The vibes were immaculate, and she helped us feel calm and grounded so we could truly enjoy every moment.

From our very first meeting it felt like I had known her for years, she was immediately welcoming and sweet and made sure all our needs were taken care of. For the day of, she came to see me before the ceremony started and reassured me and made me feel so pretty. The ceremony itself is one to remember, she has a way to connect with everyone around her that it doesn’t feel scripted it’s just natural and authentic. She really is something special and I would request her for everyone I know. :)

We walked away feeling like we experienced something truly rare.
We’re already planning, in the near future, to have another wedding with all of our family and friends in a different country and there’s no question Alby is coming with us.

Exactly what we were looking for
We left an officiant for a bit later in our planning process, but they were incredibly responsive and easy to work with. They offered a variety of officiants and made thoughtful recommendations based on our preferences, which made the process feel efficient but still personalized.
From the moment we heard Gary’s voice on our initial consult call, we immediately felt at ease and confident that he would do a great job. That feeling carried all the way through our wedding day. He struck the perfect balance we were looking for—mostly secular, with a fairly traditional structure and vows, and just a touch of light religious mentions.
Gary provided a strong first draft of the ceremony and we were able to easily make edits and incorporate personal stories. On the day of, he delivered everything beautifully. He has such a calm, reassuring presence, and even handled unexpected moments (like train noises mid-ceremony) with humor.
Beyond the ceremony itself, Gary has been incredibly thoughtful—keeping us updated on our marriage license and even sharing helpful marriage advice along the way.
We’re so grateful for his role in our day and would highly recommend him to any couple looking for a warm, professional, and personalized ceremony experience.

He delivered our story beautifully, kept the moment engaging for our guests, and guided us through everything seamlessly so we could just be present and enjoy it.
