Pastor David Sweet is a wedding officiant based near Austin, Texas who has performed hundreds of weddings at over 40 different wedding venues (plus private residences) all over Central Texas, as far away as a radius of 100 miles from Austin Texas. Pastor David has served as a pastor and Associate pastor for more than 30 years. He is currently a full-time pastor.

He has had many very satisfied couples. Many who have attended ceremonies he conducted say that the message he brings is meaningful, even moving, for them. His forte is a traditional Christian ceremony, but he is open to modifications and changes, depending on the couple's religious background or preferences. You are free to add elements, readings, or other additions.

Since most weddings are outdoors, Pastor David knows how to keep the ceremony brief, uplifting and with a touch of humor throughout, to lighten the celebration.

Pastor David arrives early at the site of the ceremony to speak to the coordinator and check on key details and go over the 'hand-off' of the bride. He gets paid only on the day of the wedding. His charge includes unlimited texts, calls, emails, or visits to help plan the ceremony and get to know the couple. He also offers limited pre-marital counseling, at $30 per session, upon request.

David is extremely qualified and holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Texas in Austin, a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Doctorate of Ministry from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

PRICING:

My base price for a typical ceremony is $220.
I add extra charge for time on the road from my home. (I’m in North Hays County—almost extreme south Austin) especially if there is traffic to negotiate. Driving through Austin to go north can sometimes mean two or three hours on the road for the round trip!

So for example a wedding in the Georgetown area or Fredericksburg my total charge (that includes ceremony and travel) is usually about $320-$340. A little less for New Braunfels or Bastrop. ($300-$320). For weddings in mid-town Austin my charge is usually around $250-280 depending on the location and traffic.

A wedding within 10 miles of me I usually charge just $220.
I charge less if the ceremony is super-simple. (i.e. no wedding party, etc.)
