Highly highly recommend! We had David Tropea, and he knocked it out of the park! He was super receptive to our wishes (no prayer/religion) and wrote an absolutely beautiful ceremony. We had 2-3 phone meetings with him, and it's clear he really TRULY cares about understanding who we are and getting to know us. He sent us the ceremony script and asked if any changes should be made, and we loved it and didn't want to make a single change!! He had our guests laughing and smiling, and it was indeed short & sweet, but also so tasteful and PERFECT!! -

Short and Sweet was amazing! Super easy to book and price was very reasonable! Our officiant Shelly was perfect - just one meeting with her and she nailed the type of ceremony we were going for! She included a beer-blending ceremony that was a favorite amongst our guests. We received so many compliments on her, people thought she had known us for years! 10/10 wound recommend! -

Not only did they listen to everything I pictured to be said, they respected our values of not being religious and running a beautiful ceremony. They were very personalize vowels that were said, along with lots of one on one practice to help me feel comfortable with stage fright. -

My husband and I had an awesome experience using Short and Sweet Weddings for our Dripping Springs wedding. We are from out of state and we had initially been concerned that our ceremony may not feel super personal to us since we weren’t bringing an officiant from home. This was absolutely not the case with Gary Motal- from the moment we met him he made us feel super comfortable and incorporated elements into our ceremony that felt truly personal. He wrote a beautiful ceremony for us and also offered us valuable advice for several questions that came up during the planning process.
Our entire experience working with Short and Sweet Weddings was pleasant and we knew we could trust Gary throughout the whole process.

Shelly with Short and Sweet Weddings was absolutely a DREAM to work with. From the moment we contacted them about officiating, they were responsive, kind, and informative. When we met with Shelly, she was so lovely and spent some time getting to know us. When we got our script, I was in tears almost instantly! It was so personal and meaningful to my now husband and I. We couldn't have been more pleased with how it turned out. During the wedding day, she checked in with us right away to finalize some last minute changes. SO many guests came up to me at the cocktail hour and reception and raved about how AMAZING Shelly was. I am still getting calls about her! She is truly a talented person and you can fully trust her. From the bottom of my heart, I highly recommend Shelly and Short and Sweet Weddings!!! -

We selected David Tropea from Short and Sweet Weddings and what a blessing it was to have him as our wedding officiant. David took the time to have an initial call and then physically met with us about a month before our wedding. A meeting that was supposed to be 30 minutes lasted into 3 hours of great conversations and getting to genuinely know each other. This was truly a memorable experience along with our wedding day, where David Tropea vividly exclaimed our love in such a beautiful and powerful manner through his words. David, we are very thankful to have met you! Thank you for everything. -

Shelly was truly the most amazing wedding officiant we could have asked for. She is kind and caring, and made sure our wedding ceremony was personalized to us and was exactly what we wanted. The ceremony was short and sweet, and everything was perfect. From meeting beforehand so she could get to know us, to coming to our rehearsal and making sure everything was in place for the wedding. We had many guests tell us how beautiful the ceremony was, and how moving her words were. I would tell any couple who is thinking about hiring Short and Sweet Weddings to definitely do so. -

I found this company through my wedding planner, blue moon events Texas! Shelly was our officiant for our day & she was amazing! Meeting with her made me think about certain things I wanted and appreciate her creativeness. She was so kind and very responsive when I had questions!
The company S&S is also affordable compared to most that I looked at! Higher these people to take care of you! They’re seriously the best! -

We had a wonderful experience using Short & Sweet Weddings as our officiant for our Austin wedding. Gary was so helpful in planning the ceremony and tailored the message to fit our love and family perfectly. He was able to incorporate our Catholic faith into the ceremony that made it even more special. He also sent over the ceremony in advance so we could make sure it was true to our marriage and included our personal vows within. We received so many compliments on the ceremony from our guests who loved that it was not your standard vow deliverance and it real spoke to who we are as husband and wife. Overall a great experience start to finish. Definitely recommend Gary Motal if you're getting married in Austin and want a ceremony you and your guests will never forget! -

100% would recommend!! Shelly was absolutely wonderful, from the first few minutes of meeting with her via zoom we were immediately at ease and certain with our choice. She wrote a wonderful service and we had the opportunity to review it within a few days of our meeting and we made any changes we wanted. When it came to the big day, Shelly was a calming presence at the altar while waiting for the bride. The words she spoke were excellent, well delivered and loved by everyone. We would not have changed a thing. At the end of the ceremony she left a copy of our service and vows and we look at it fondly. We cannot recommend Shelly enough. -

We had Cheryl officiate our wedding. Cheryl is an absolute dream! We also added on pre-marital counseling classes with her so we were able to really get to know each other before the wedding. Cheryl is one of the sweetest people and also brings some humor to the ceremony. Everyone told us how much they liked our officiant! She makes the process incredibly easy and I cannot recommend her enough! Thank you, Cheryl! -

We worked with Shelly for our wedding on September 4th, 2021. She is absolutely amazing to work with, very enthusiastic, and she makes you feel so comfortable. She wrote a beautiful script for our ceremony and incorporated our wishes into it with no problem. Our photographer (Photos by Martina) works with Short and Sweet Weddings. Shelly was so easy and great to work with! She reached out to us to introduce herself, took the initiative to schedule a call with us as the day neared, tailored our script, and let us incorporate our own vows too. She provided a vow 'booklet' with all the script and our vows electronically added as well! Would definitely recommend!
