We knew from the very beginning we didn’t want the standard peonies and roses combo. We wanted something unique, memorable, and true to us and the venue we had chosen. Angelena, almost telepathically, knew what we wanted and improved on the vision even further. I am a maximalist by nature and worried I had gone overboard ( it was urban jungle with a reference to botanical illustrations and 19th century art…really out there I know.) I was terrified that it wouldn’t be cohesive. Angelena, with her eye for aesthetic floral arrangements, tied all of it together.

I do art for a day job, and elected do do some diy for budget reasons. I bit far more than I could chew : menus, invitation suites, escort cards, photo booth props/strips, and even animated projection graphics. I was able to send all of this to her for her to reference and she got the visual language IMMEDIATELY. A couple days later, she presented the perfect moodboard, literally her first pass was everything we envisioned.

Our venue also had a magnet wall we were using as a seating chart. By this point I became EXHAUSTED by the overwhelming amount of DIY I put into the escort cards by the designing, fussing over fonts, misprints, reshuffling of seating arrangements and my partner weary from all the glueing, cutting, and tying. We could not think of an effective solution for the “find your seat portion” of the top. We entertained the idea of clear acrylic cut outs on fishing line(very expensive, also the plastic shop I was working with told me my wedding font was too delicate to make it work), laser cut wooden letters on magnets (cheap, but worried about spacing and alignment). Angelena proposed a simple elegant solution: vinyl letters glued on to a strip of faux leather attached to the wall with magnets. It was cost effective and I got to keep my wedding fonts consistent! She also reassured me that she can remove the vinyl lettering and reuse the strip for another wedding(we love to reuse, repurpose, and recycle!)

The whole night guests could not stop commenting on how gorgeous the wedding was. Angelena honestly made all those nights where me and my partner stayed up crafting in tears worth it. Everything felt so intentional and elevated. Despite doing a lot of DIY to save on cost, I feel like I had a wedding worthy of a Pinterest board or wedding magazine.

And Angelena herself is a joy. Patient and responsive, and very passionate about what she does. It is rare when someone automatically just gets your vision and just executes despite how chaotic the creative process and wedding planning can be. I say this from one creative to another, Angelena is a great one, well worth beyond the quote she gave me. 100000/10 service.

Over video chat and email it was obvious she was organized, creative, and very efficient. She worked with me to get the mood board for the wedding perfect, not afraid to make adjustments or pivot original plans. It took only a few revisions to finalize the plans for the wedding.

When I arrived at the venue, I was truly blown away. My bridal bouquet was absolutely stunning and all of my bridesmaids' bouquets were beautiful. Although the color palette was seemingly plain (white, with some black and green) she brought the mood board to life beyond my wildest dreams. The ceremony space, though not overwhelming with florals, felt warm and bright like even though the wedding was on a overcast February day because of the gorgeous floral arrangements. Her and her team took white florals and made them stand out in the best way possible.

Not only is she creative, efficient, and so talented, she is also very upfront about costs and was willing to work with my budget. Each revision came with an updated cost estimate and she provided various options and costs when creating proposals.

I really loved working with Angelena! Shindig was really responsive throughout the process and did an awesome job of translating my want for color and texture (but scant flower knowledge) into beautiful, funky arrangements that went far beyond my expectations. Angelena was really thoughtful throughout the planning and mood board processes, and was accommodating with last minute changes week of when we needed additional boutonnieres and stems for flower girls.

You can't go wrong with this crew! They were just at the right spot of beautiful artistry of flowers without going overboard on my flower budget.

Angelena created all of the details for our intimate family ceremony and reception in Tuscany, and we could not be happier with the results! From my bridal bouquet to the menu and place cards, we were so happy with how everything turned out. She captured our style and color palette perfectly, and left me (the bride) completely stress free about those details on the day of! Angelena completely and utterly EXCEEDED my expectations in every way! When we chatted about my big day, she heard my vision and brought it to life! Prior to even getting engaged, I knew I wanted to go with them as my florist based on all the drop-dead gorgeous florals I had seen online and the rave reviews. I already had a Pinterest board going, and as she predicted, that board evolved over the next few months. I went from wanting a strong burgundy and green color palette to choosing a relatively neutral color scheme with pops of color. Regardless of color, I knew I wanted the vibe to be moody, romantic, and modern. Fast forward, we talked about the final design expectations six weeks before the big day. Though my Type A personality wanted to know what exact flowers were chosen, I knew I could trust Angelena and she absolutely nailed every little detail! From the selection of the flowers, to the bud vase colors, to the styling of candles and votives, it was all just STUNNING. I still can’t believe how beautiful everything came out. Everyone - I mean everyone - raved about the florals and couldn’t wait to take them home! Added bonus, Angelena pointed me to my photographer too - and she also couldn’t have been more perfect for the day. Do not think twice and book Angelena and Shindig Chic immediately!

Wow- we used Angelena and the Shindig Chic team for our small covid ceremony as well as our reception! We had two completely different vibes of florals we wanted for each event and Angelena just blew us out of the water. Her designs are GORGEOUS and she's so creative.
