Our Wedding Venue began as a love story when two of our Airbnb guests became engaged here and later asked us if they could be married here as well. We are a great escape from all the hustle and bustle of city life. This is a place for you to be focused on your big day and love that is ever-present. For those dreaming of an affordable yet one-of-a-kind wedding, Serenity Farm Retreat at Buffalo Junction, Virginia welcomes you. We are conveniently located just over the North Carolina/Virginia line, an hour and a half north of Raleigh NC. Serenity Farm Retreat is a picturesque countryside wedding venue, with rolling hills and open vistas. The town of Clarksville with the beautiful Kerr Lake is just a short drive down the road. Our 35-acre horse farm property offers a tranquil escape from the everyday grind, encouraging visitors to let go and be in the moment. This is your moment of wedded bliss. Owners, Sherri and Terry Fox are excited and ready to host your special day and the days leading up to it. One of the local vineyards is just across the road for your fun and convenience.

Facilities and Capacity

We have some stunningly gorgeous settings and pastoral views for you on your special day. Serenity Farm Retreat has three bedrooms available in our 125+-year-old historic farmhouse to accommodate the wedding party. The house has been beautifully updated and renovated and will afford many beautiful photo opportunities. Beautiful chandeliers and lighting are in place for a sophisticated backdrop. We offer the grounds and the house for both the wedding and reception, as one package. Our new covered pavilion will be in place at the Old Tobacco Warehouse for your wedding or reception. This venue can be as elaborate or as simple as you wish. We also provide overnight accommodations for your additional comfort and convenience. Located steps from the house and surrounded by pastures, the crystal clear pool is available for you and your guests to enjoy during seasonal weather and is a great photo setting.

With the horses in the background or front and center, under the huge pecan tree, in the front courtyard, by the pool, or under the gazebo, we offer many scenic and beautiful photo opportunities for your wedding. A large covered front porch, a back covered porch, and a deck off the back of the house offer plenty of outdoor space to come in out of the elements if needed.

Services Offered

Sherri is an author and counselor, skilled in helping people deal with overwhelm. For further relaxation, she offers energetic bodywork, as in Reiki. Sherri is also an avid flower enthusiast and can arrange for many beautiful flowers and roses from the Serenity Farm Gardens to be placed in and around the grounds as well as hanging baskets, and ferns during peak season.

Terry is happy to act as chef and take care of your wedding's catering needs. His fresh, seasonal dishes can be served as a buffet or family style. The kitchen or OldTobacco Warehouse is large enough so you can have your wedding catered or food brought in that your family and/or friends have prepared.

There are several fun activities for the bridal party and guests to enjoy. Sip, Dine & Design Class for the bridal party, Energy work for the bridal couple, Cornhole, floor pool, darts, and more for all to enjoy.

The horses are always up to welcome you and enjoy some hugs and treats.
