Eric and I had the fortune to have Talida at Savour Weddings as our wedding coordinator for the six months leading up to our destination wedding in Texas. Through the entire planning process Talida was with us every step of the way, providing logistical and design input on our ideas as well as filling in the gaps for anything we may have overlooked in our excitement. Readily available whenever I needed, Talida was there to provide me honest feedback on the various visions I had for each space my guests would experience throughout the rehearsal dinner and wedding day, built out a Pinterest vision board with me, and shopped alongside me to maximize our budget without impacting what we wanted to achieve. Leading up to the wedding, particularly with our travel, no one was more organized than Talida in knowing the travel logistics for us and our guests, shipping all our supplies onsite, and coordinating with all our vendors remotely. Wedding day execution was also flawless, and I felt like I could relax and just focus on having fun and getting dressed (it's easier for the men, but Eric felt the same!). I am generally a Type A, checklist/spreadsheets gal with a healthy dose of anxiety. Throw in wedding planning with in-laws who don't speak the same language was a huge challenge and Talida totally stepped up to the plate and knocked it out of the park. By my wedding day my hair and make-up artist remarked that I was the calmest bride ever. I credit this to the trust I have in Talida because her planning and attention to detail is pretty much flawless. What's even better is how she anticipates any issues that may crop up along the way and has just the right back-up plan or solution to keep everything moving along smoothly. It allowed my husband and I to be 100% present during our wedding day to enjoy every moment with our friends and family.
Talida has a very calming personality that is also at the same time your very best advocate when managing strong personalities and differing opinions. She is not afraid to have firm conversations and stand in your corner when handling a myriad of family questions, expectations, and requests that come with a wedding. She was also encouraging during our email and phone check-ins, helping me stay on track and chip away at the "wedding to do list" and was always helpful with resources and advice to make sure I was able to stick to our timeline and wedding budget. Talida is a consummate professional and even my officiant remarked that she was one of the best he's seen in the many he has officiated. When I got engaged, I didn't think I needed a wedding planner because I'm very organized and I thought I could manage everything myself. I did all my own research on venues, vendors, DIY centerpieces, etc. and created a detailed wedding day schedule for the entire wedding party. However, as the wedding got closer, I realized a few things: I had a lot of little questions that I didn't know who to ask, I didn't want to worry about things slipping through the cracks leading up to the big day, and I didn't want to be stressed the day of trying to make sure everything was going smoothly while I did my own bride stuff. I knew Talida (a friend of mine) could help with all this but I was concerned that I had already done so much on my own that hiring her wouldn't be "worth" the money, but she met with me to review everything that was done vs. still outstanding and then proposed a customized plan for how she could assist me. The package was perfect and the price was right so I hired her, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I made for my wedding!
Talida is very experienced and knowledgeable about all things related to weddings; what she doesn't know, she will research and follow up with you on. She is very organized, responsive, and was flexible to my schedule. Talida created a thorough master wedding schedule that incorporated the one I created plus everything else I hadn't accounted for. The week of the wedding, I was in close touch with her and she came with me to meet with my venue manager and led practices at my rehearsal dinner. The day of, I was able to focus on having fun with my friends and family because I knew Talida was taking care of everything behind the scenes, and I'm happy to say that the wedding was amazing!
