Salon Mink was a great value and did a great job on my hair and makeup for my wedding. Cori did my hair, and he was so artful, nice, and accommodating. I got a lot of compliments on the intricate work he did on the back of my head and involving a family pin I put in my hair. Sara did my makeup, and she did a good job, but after seeing all of my other girls get their makeup done, I would have preferred that Saidat had done it. Sara was really nice and professional, and it looked good, but Saidat was offering a lot more guidance to the girls, and she also seemed to understand more the look that I wanted. I also noticed in pictures that I had been over bronzed. However, I loved the whole experience! You can sip mimosas or sparkly water while they work, and the place has a great vibe and plenty of room to hang out if it is not your turn. They got my entire bridal party of 8 in and out in a few hours with hair and makeup.
We did have one negative experience though. One of the stylists (not sure which) cut off my maid of honor and told her that she would not finish doing her hair because she had to get to her next costumer. She looked fine, but the finished product was not as involved as what she had been hoping for, and she was paying for it afterall. We were pretty infuriated, but as soon as Saidat and Cori heard about it, they took over and Saidat did her hair to her satisfaction. Maybe that stylist was just having a bad day, but it was stress we did not need at that moment. So thank goodness the rest of the staff was so great!
