FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Will you co-officiate? GLADLY! But let me share my very personal thought on that matter…I completely respect and gladly serve any couple who feels the importance of having two officiates, and I have happily and successfully been a co-officiate. However, in some cases, the presence of two officiates could give the perception of a division of faith. What I believe to be remarkable, however, is when one officiate can blend two faiths, with grace and meaning, bringing a true sense of unity to your ceremony. Either way, it is my pleasure and my honor to serve my couples, in whatever way they wish to be served!

Can we create our own ceremony? Absolutely! I am your facilitator. You hire me to perform the wedding YOU want to create! I am your guide. I help you understand what each component of a religious or spiritual wedding entails, and you choose how you want to incorporate it. I guide you through the order of the ceremony, and to help you envision your wedding, exactly the way you want it to be.

Our family structure is complicated, how do we handle the processional? Many families today are mixed, and the relationships are often blurred. We discuss all the people you would like to include, and I have many innovative ways to include the people you love, creating a ceremony that highlights love and harmony. No worries or stress allowed!

How will you get to know us? I schedule regular sessions, and have you complete very in-depth questionnaires, so that I am able to really connect with you on many levels. When your guests leave your wedding or ceremony, they will feel as if we have known each other for years!

Do we need a rehearsal? Most of the time – no. Rehearsals themselves are rather outdated. Your coordinator and I will have everyone prepared as we line up, and each person will know exactly where to go. But if you wish to have one – feel free!

We do not belong to a synagogue, where can we have our ceremony? Anywhere that accommodates the number of people you wish to have! Most of my families hold their lifecycle events at hotels, restaurants, private homes, on the beach, anywhere you want!

We are not religious, but we want to include a few traditions that are meaningful to us. You are not alone! Today’s couples want a personalized wedding that reflects who they are, without the obligation of outdated rules and traditions. Our traditions of our faiths have beautiful modern meaning, and your ceremony can be whatever you want it to be. I support and guide you through the process by incorporating the meaning and clearly explaining to all your guests, so everyone feels welcome, and an active part of your special day.

What makes you different? Your ceremony is the most important part of your wedding, and it is of utmost importance for your officiant to set the tone for your event. I am warm, loving, personal, spiritual, dynamic, and flexible. I have exceptional speaking skills, a loving heart, and add lots of fun to your ceremony!

Also, and this is one aspect is very important that most couples do not think about - Unlike many other officiants out there who solely operate as a "wedding officiant" booking sometimes two or more weddings in one day, it is my practice to only book one wedding or lifecycle event on any given day. Doing so allows me flexibility in my schedule so that, should there be bad weather, traffic, the late arrival of a special guest, by making your wedding or lifecycle event my only commitment of the day, I can be fully present with you, completely focused on just you and your day until your ceremony is completed. Other officiants with more than one booking for the day are usually on a tight schedule, rushing to leave one wedding to get to another and are often inflexible in being able to accommodate the unforeseen that can arise.

A Ceremony That Felt Personal, Meaningful, and Truly Us

It is hard to put into words just how much care Rabbi Brian put into our wedding ceremony. From our very first meeting, before we even committed to moving forward with him, he guided us through thoughtful questions that helped us articulate our connection to one another and to our Jewish heritage. My husband and I are not particularly religious in the observant sense, but we care deeply about our culture and honoring tradition. Rabbi Brian helped us reconnect to that by reminding us that being Jewish, at its core, is about always doing the right thing, something that has been a guiding light throughout our relationship.

Rabbi Brian also beautifully wove stories from our life together and our relationship journey into the ceremony in a way that felt completely effortless and natural. He made it feel as though he had been along for the ride of our six year relationship, even though we had only met him a short while ago. His attention to detail is truly unmatched, and it meant the world to us.

Beyond how meaningful working with Rabbi Brian was for us, our guests have raved about how enjoyable and engaging our ceremony was. My husband and I do not take ourselves too seriously, and Rabbi Brian allowed our personalities to shine throughout the entire experience. He joked, poked fun, and had the room laughing one moment, then moved everyone to tears of joy the next. He truly honored who we are as a couple while staying true to tradition.

We are incredibly grateful to have found Rabbi Brian. We look forward to recommending him to everyone we can and to including him in our family milestones for years to come.

06/13/26 Wedding

We originally found Rabbi Brian through wedding wire and we’re so happy we did. He has been a pleasure to get to know throughout the months leading up to our wedding and he’s been so helpful. He thoroughly reviewed our custom Ketubah which needed his edits/input and we always felt reassured he had our backs throughout everything. On the wedding day he was warm and made it feel intimate with our family during the ceremony, Ketubah signing, and family blessings, but also added humor when needed and all of our guests kept coming up to us afterwards remarking on how much they loved Rabbi Brian. If you’re looking for a Rabbi you have found him!

The Best Interfaith Rabbi There Is!

We cannot recommend Rabbi Brian Denker highly enough! My wife is Catholic and I am Jewish, and we were navigating the unique and beautiful dynamic of having an interfaith, Catholic wedding. Blending traditions in a way that feels authentic to both families can sometimes be a challenge, but Rabbi Brian navigated this with an incredible amount of professionalism, grace, and warmth.
From our very first meeting, it was clear he was genuinely invested in us as a couple. He was exceptionally flexible, supportive, and highly communicative throughout the entire planning process. Instead of trying to force a pre-set structure or his own agenda on us, he took the time to truly listen to our vision for the ceremony and worked collaboratively with us to make it a reality. He made us feel heard, understood, and respected every step of the way.
On the wedding day itself, his presence was incredibly calming. He delivered an absolutely beautiful, personalized speech that captured our relationship perfectly—it had us (and our guests) smiling, laughing, and crying. To honor my Jewish heritage, he seamlessly led the Sheva Brachot (Seven Blessings) and the traditional breaking of the glass at the end of the ceremony. He managed to weave these important Jewish traditions into the Catholic service so naturally and respectfully that it felt like they always belonged together.
If you are looking for an officiant who is profoundly accommodating, deeply talented, and dedicated to creating a ceremony that truly reflects who you are as a couple, look no further than Rabbi Brian Denker. He helped make our wedding day absolutely perfect! Thank you Rabbi Brian!!

Such a pleasure to work with!

Working with Rabbi Brian for our wedding was an absolute joy from start to finish. He is incredibly easy to work with and made the entire process feel light and stress-free. For the ceremony itself, he brought such a warm and approachable energy that really put us at ease. We received so many compliments from our guests on how much they enjoyed the service—it felt personal, inclusive, and exactly like "us." We couldn't have asked for a better experience and are so glad he was such a big part of our day!

Beautiful service

Rabbi Denker was a pleasure to work with for my son's wedding. I am out of state and he put me at ease that he had the entire ceremony handled. He walked us through everything we needed to have on hand, more than once, without losing patience. His explanation of the ketubah, during the signing, brought me to tears. As this was an interfaith service, he explained the Jewish traditions that were incorporated very beautifully. Rabbi Denker did a great job following my son and daughter-in-law's wishes as to what should be included in the wedding.

A beautiful & personalized ceremony

Rabbi Brian did a wonderful job encapsulating the ceremony with a spiritual sense of humor and emotional depth. There was not a dry eye in the audience due to both laughter and the significance of our commitment. Throughout the night our guests made a point of telling us how beautiful the ceremony was and what a fantastic officiant Rabbi Brian had been. He truly dedicated the time to get to know my husband and I to craft such a personal and deeply intimate ceremony. Thank you so much again Rabbi Brian for making our special day all the more magical.
