You absolutely must book Ashley! There are so many good things we could say about our amazing experience with Power Events. We found Power because it was one of our venue’s approved caterers. From Day 1 however, it was clear that not only the food, but the entire event would be safe in Ashley’s hands, so much so that we saved money by not hiring a separate planner or day-of coordinator. Ashley was a true expert at working with the unique requirements of our venue and its tight timeline. Anytime we were uncertain about whether we should include an element in the wedding or how it should go, Ashley knew just how to fit it in. Ashley’s Master Planner kept us on track with everything we needed to do in the weeks leading up to the wedding and kept all of our other vendors on the same page. Ashley was also great at accommodating any of our special wishes and filling in the things we forgot. She was great at communicating quickly and clearly whenever we had questions.

On the day of our wedding, Ashley’s efficiency and organization wowed even our most organized family members. She kept a few late guests from walking through our procession before we even realized it was about to happen. She caught that we had forgotten to ask our DJ to introduce us after our outfit change and came to get us when it was time. When it was time to do the Hora, two sturdier chairs almost magically appeared on the dance floor–it wasn’t until later, watching a guest’s video, that we saw Ashley bring them out and dart away before we could notice. There were probably so many other things she and the rest of her team did without us realizing because our wedding was a truly seamless experience. This gave us the greatest wedding gift of all: being able to fully enjoy the time with our family and friends.

In addition to Ashley, all of the Power Events team members that we met were extremely professional and friendly. They always made sure we had what we needed during dinner so that we never had to ask. And of course, the food was excellent. We got so many compliments on the short ribs!

Reflecting back on it now, our whole wedding planning experience was surprisingly stress-free start to finish! Power Events was definitely a big part of why.

Since our first tasting, we knew that Power Events would be worth every penny. The owner, Ashley, not only knows her food well, but also knows the order of events like the back of her hand. Upon first meeting, Ashley sketched out the timeline for our reception on a scrap piece of paper. In the lead-up to our wedding, Ashley checked in with us to verify all of our options and make sure everyone was on the same page for our wedding day.
The food was otherworldly. After trying the prime rib and tortellini during our tasting, we could not stop dreaming about them. At our wedding all of our guests raved about the food. The cheesesteak egg rolls were a fan favorite. Ashley told us that she focuses on doing simple foods well, and she does that expertly. Everyone in her staff was amazing and we could not recommend Power Events enough!

What can we even say about Power Events! We had an incredible experience - Ashley made our wedding day exceptional. We were having a tough time finding a great venue/vendor fit for our wedding in our early stages of searching. The second we chose Morris Arboretum and found Power Events as one of their preferred vendors, everything fell into place. We put in an inquiry with Ashley and she promptly responded back. In our first conversation Ashley told us, “if you have me you won’t need a wedding planner”. We were struck by her bubbly energy and passion, which was palpable over the phone. She was totally right. Ashley knew Morris better than anyone and helped us tailor our wedding to our interests/vibe by giving us as much information possible to make informed decisions—from ceremony logistics to the dance floor to the food. She skillfully supported us in every facet of our event. THE FOOD! Incredible. We had so many people tell us that it was the best catered food they ever had.

Ashley also had a great relationship with other vendors in the area. Everyone loved working with her as much as we did. There isn’t a single thing we would have wanted to do differently.

Simply stated: if you go with Ashley you’ll 100% be taken care of.

Ashley and her entire team not only met but exceeded every expectation we had for them as the catering team for our wedding. From the very first call we had, Ashley demonstrated top notch organization, attention to detail, and understanding for what we wanted for our special day. She was incredibly attentive and responsive with any questions or concerns we had during the planning process.

As the date came closer, Ashley’s “Master Sheet” was an incredible tool to coordinate all the timelines with our various vendors and for us to refer back to from time to time as well. While Ashley was unable to be on site for our reception – Rina coordinated our day flawlessly from start to finish making sure nobody missed a beat.

Now I can’t believe it has taken me so far to get to this part, but the food was incredible. From our initial taste testing over a year before, we knew we knocked it out of the park. Cocktail Hour & Dinner were both divine, with multiple guests giving us unsolicited feedback that it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had. I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the potatoes au gratin. They are one of the best things I’ve ever eaten, my only regret is that I wasn’t hungrier.

All in all, I’d recommend anyone hosting an event of any kind contact Ashley and Power Events – especially if it is a day you want to treasure forever.

Power Catering absolutely killed it at our wedding in the Bok Building. I can proudly say our wedding had both great food and amazing service! The food was exceptional—everyone agreed!

Ashley and her team were outstanding; they ensured we enjoyed delicious bites from the cocktail hour even while we were busy taking pictures. The staff was attentive, kind, and exceptionally organized. Working with Ashley was a breeze and she adeptly managed every detail with utmost professionalism. She had many helpful suggestions that improved our setup and overall flow of the event.

Ashley and her team catered our wedding in May of 2023, and did a phenomenal job!! For my Sri Lankan mom, her biggest worry was how the food was going to turn out and if there would be enough. Needless to say...my parents were thrilled with the spread at cocktail hours, dinner, and dessert! The cocktail food (including a pumpkin samsosa, risotto balls, etc.) and the salad (a beautiful watermlon, feta, mint, balsamic salad that even my carnivorous father-in-law loved!) were my personal favorites! I'm Sri Lankan and it was important to me that we paid homage to that cuisine. Ashley worked flexibly with us to include some food from our culture as a welcome drink/snack and as desserts. We had a family style dinner that gave everyone the chance to try a little bit of everything, and kept everyone satisfied! The staff were so kind and checked in on me and my husband throughout the night....they even made us a to-go bag of food to take with us! At Morris Arboretum they have a very tight timeline for set up and clean up. My husband and uncle (who are both type A engineers) were very impressed with how organized and efficient Power Events was at set up and clean up. The only thing I wish I knew ahead was that I could have asked Ashley to help me out as a "coordinator" more vs. hiring an outside day of coordinator. Definitely worth having a conversation with her about any planning concerns that you have. All in all, I was thrilled with everything, and so pleased that I spent money on this wonderful woman-owned business and her amazing team!! Highly recommend them!

We are beyond thrilled with the incredible job Ashley and the Power Catering team did as our wedding caterer! She went above and beyond to make our day absolutely perfect. The venue looked stunning—the table linen colors were spot on, and every detail was beautifully organized. The food was so delicious. Everyone at my wedding kept coming up to me to tell me how good the food was. Ashley's team pulled off a beautiful cocktail hour and reception. Ashley also helped me create a cocktail menu that reflected the personalities of our three cats - which was such a hit at our reception. Ashley didn’t just handle the catering; she also coordinated our ceremony, and it was flawless.
