Salvatore’s was an exceptional wedding venue. Marco, Brandon, Cameron, and the rest of the staff were helpful and communicative from planning our tour to making last-minute changes the week before our wedding. We chose the Sunday microwedding package, which was perfect for the size of wedding we wanted to have. The venue itself is gorgeous and is already well-decorated. The patio was perfect for our ceremony, the lobby was a gorgeous entrance for our guests, and the bar and dining room had the perfect ambience. The food was delicious; we chose the rigatoni bolognese, chicken Vesuvio, and tortellini casalinga – all were fantastic. We were also impressed by the wait staff, all of whom were exceptionally kind and helpful throughout the evening. We would absolutely recommend Salvatore’s to other couples planning their weddings.

We worked with Gina and Julia from The Metropolitan, and everything went unbelievably smoothly. The venue was all-inclusive, which took a lot off of our plate, and literally nothing went wrong day-of, which we couldn't believe was possible. In terms of the wedding itself, the venue was perfect. The view from the Sears Tower was gorgeous, and we were able to take wedding photos on the sky deck. The food, both appetizers and entrees, was the best we've ever had at a wedding. Couldn't be happier with our decision!

I fell in love with the Women’s Club of Evanston the moment I walked in for a tour. It is a gorgeous old mansion with deep roots; the manager (Gretchen) is kind, reliable, and so easy to work with; the preferred caterer we used (Catering by Michaels) was raved about by our guests; and the gift of bringing your own alcohol was huge. Our guests kept commenting on the uniqueness of the space, how great it was to have a pianist playing during our cocktail hour on the first floor, and how joyful and bright the ballroom looked. It was honestly beyond anything I imagined. A few extra things of note – our guests stayed at the Graduate Evanston which is barely a block away (no shuttles needed!); there is a huge parking garage across the street so nobody was looking for parking; and have I mentioned how beautiful the space is? I wish I had a reason to throw a huge event again – I would go back to the Women’s Club every time. Huge thank you to Gretchen and her team! Also, the cost was very reasonable compared to other venues!

Words cannot describe how incredible the Firehouse and the Firehouse team are. But I will try. Our wedding was truly a dream come true. Every corner of the Firehouse is full of charm, character, and beauty. But even more memorable than the space itself was the team behind it. Sarah and Teddy and all of the Firehouse team went above and beyond from day one. Their guidance and support throughout the entire planning process was invaluable, especially since both my partner and I were working full time. They made everything feel seamless. We are so grateful for their care, responsiveness, and warmth. You can tell they genuinely care about their couples and treat each wedding with love. My only regret is that since I’m already married I can’t have another wedding at the Firehouse! Maybe a vow renewal in the future. Choosing Firehouse and the Firehouse team was truly one of THE best wedding decisions we made. Thank you Firehouse for making our wedding feel so special

We met at the Union League Club of Chicago a few years ago, so naturally we knew we had to celebrate our wedding there. We opted for a morning ceremony at a Catholic church followed by the most gorgeous, seamless, and romantic afternoon reception in the Crystal Room at ULCC. Joanne Diaz was incredible to work with — so easy to talk to and truly supportive throughout the process. She helped us bring our personal style to life in a place that holds so much meaning for us & our families. She made planning the wedding myself feel completely manageable. If you're considering self-planning your wedding, Union League is a big reason it was so doable for us. From the phenomenal catering and bar staff to the delicious food customized to our needs (yes, we had a mostly gluten-free wedding!), everything was handled with care. The hotel accommodations were excellent, and everyone we encountered showed such genuine kindness. We could go on and on about how perfect it was to celebrate at ULCC. It was everything we hoped for and more.

Martina and Chayla were a DREAM to work with! I feel like I lucked out so much with them being the venue coordinators. They were so knowledgeable on what works well for the venue and also answered every question I had regarding the space. I loved learning history tidbits whenever I did a walk-thru, so then I could pass those on to the guests. We got to utilize a lot of the space and I loved the warmth of Ruggles Hall and the beautiful marble in the Lobby. I'm so happy we had our wedding here and were able to support a treasure in Chicago.
