We were extremely pleased with the staff and this venue for the wedding reception! It is a beautiful location and the Carriage House was a perfect location for our event. It easily accommodated our 140 guests and a nice size dance floor. The entryway into the venue is beautiful and welcoming to the guests and allowed room for our photo booth style guest book, a memory table and a display of bridal portraits. Rhonda and her staff were amazing and kept things running smoothly working closely with the event coordinator. They have years of experience and were so helpful in the planning as well. We even ran into a glitch with the ceremony at a local church...I had gotten candles that were way too short.
We mentioned to Rhonda that we were needing to quickly find longer candles and she said she had some and went and found 16 candles for us to use at the church! That was so appreciated!

Because we rented this venue we were able to also use the Oak Ridge Manor House for our bridal portrait shoot. Rhonda was there to help with this as well and the results were wonderful. I recommend this venue highly!

Beautiful old 1800s estate/manor house. Shows its age but charming for a ceremony. Reception house (the carriage house) was perfect for our (approx. 100) guests. Other houses on the estate are available for smaller ceremonies.

This place is a hidden gem. What a beautiful place to be married! But the beautiful venue is just the beginning - Rhonda, Amanda, and the entire staff at Oak Ridge worked so hard to put together the perfect wedding for us and had great advice (THANK YOU). Just wonderful people! If you're considering getting married in the Charlottesville or Lynchburg area, you just have to check this place out.

The setting and staff were simply amazing. Three weeks later, our guests are still gushing about how beauty the venue was. Random people who saw pictures on facebook commented about its beauty. But the best thing about having our wedding at Oak Ridge was the wedding staff. They could not have been more organized, focused in on special details, anticipating my every thought... They made my wedding day run smoothly! Five stars, 10 out of 10, whatever your highest rating is, they deserve it.

We could not be more pleased with where we chose to have our ceremony and reception. The Oak Ridge Estate is a magnificent mansion located in the Shenandoah Valley about 30 miles outside of Charlottesville. The mansion and beautiful grounds were breathtaking and provided a majestic backdrop for our ceremony. We received amazing compliments about the location from all of our guests. The Oak Ridge staff worked with our other vendors to insure everything went according to schedule. Rhonda and Amanda took care of every detail. Oak Ridge Estate is a breathtaking estate in the Appalachian mountains, outside of Charlottesville. The Estate has 4800 acres, and a 23,000 sq foot mansion. Rhonda and her staff are efficient, personable, and great! They made sure I had nothing to do on my wedding day other than take in the moment. It doesn't get much better than this.

Oak Ridge was a dream location for our wedding reception. Working with Rhonda, and showing off this beautiful piece of Virginia history was exactly the ticket for our wedding. We held our cocktail reception in the mansion and our reception in the carriage house, and everything went without a hitch, it was terrific! Cannot say enough great things about Rhonda and her team. On top of that, it was a tremendous value and we could not believe it was in our budget. Highly recommend.

I don’t know how or where to begin to describe the excellent experience we had holding our wedding reception at Oak Ridge Estate. My husband and I were married in Lynchburg in July. We are both interested in history and Oak Ridge was a perfect venue for us. Our cocktail hour was held at the main house and the main house lawn, while dinner and dancing were held in the Carriage House. Rhonda is a powerhouse! She is efficient, flexible, and has acute attention to detail. She and her team helped our day run smoothly and they worked with our schedule and requests. The venue is gorgeous and the Oak Ridge staff helped make it even more so! We left many detailed instructions for how to decorate when we dropped off decor and florals, but also left them flexibility. They followed our plan to a T and then elevated it! They placed our extra florals all around the venue (even in the bathrooms!), moved our decor between venues, helped people find their way around the estate, and just all-around made the day seamless. Rhonda was willing to work to help execute our detailed vision and offered excellent advice to help the plan work out. Our wedding had the elegant, laid back, summer feel we were going for and so much of the credit goes to Rhonda and her team, and the gorgeous estate! Just a perfect, hidden venue! Thank you all!
