I found Num Num World Music by Googling "low-key DJ" because I wanted someone who would give my guests a truly pleasant experience for our intimate wedding. In the past, I'd been to weddings where the music was so loud I couldn't hear someone talking right next to me, or when the DJ would take over and try too hard to be the star of the show. Due to these experiences, I searched for a classy, respectful DJ with a love of music. Kris Koch from Num Num was exactly who we were looking for!
Kris far exceeded our expectations, driving a long distance to meet with us, sitting with us for a detailed planning session to go over our list of songs, giving us plenty of great suggestions, and keeping the night flowing seamlessly at our reception, even when our schedule was a bit derailed by unexpected extra time needed for bustling my dress.
I felt Kris really picked up on the vibe of our guests and tailored our music to keep everyone on the dance floor. (Even though we had under 60 people, the floor was packed, and we are not big dancers/partiers!) He played all our favorites and was also receptive to requests, only making announcements when necessary. I loved that he had a standard to not play songs with inappropriate lyrics to avoid awkward moments. His rates were an exceptionally good value, and he was completely professional in all his dealings with us.
We had specific music instructions for our choreographed first dance, which he executed flawlessly. We also had a cocktail hour on the patio, and he was able to play music there as well as transition our guests inside with ease. His genuine love for music really shines through in what he does. We honestly could not have been happier with Num Num World Music. (Plus, what a cool name!)
