Jay was so easy to work with and full of suggestions. DJ Mike was great and really personalized the music and his running of the event. Can’t say enough great things about selective sound. Would highly recommend.

As a professional wedding officiant I have worked with COUNTLESS DJs in the area. Sure, many will give your guests a good time on the dance floor but not all know how to cohesively work as a team with all the wedding pros you trust to hire on your big day. Jay R is fantastic. He is well-respected in the local event community. He is professional, knowledgeable, and goes out of his way to execute events in the way a couple has requested. From start to finish, Selective Sound Events truly exceeded our expectations and helped make our special day even more memorable! The entire process, from scheduling to handling our special requests, was seamless and professional. They were incredibly responsive and took the time to ensure every detail was just right.

The music selection was perfect, and the volume was spot-on—never too loud, but always just right to keep the energy high and the dance floor packed. We received numerous compliments from guests about how great the tunes were, and there was a wonderful balance of old favorites and fresh tracks that had everyone moving.

One of the highlights of the night was the incredibly unique moment they helped create—announcing a "gorilla playing saxophone with balloons." It was unexpected and absolutely hilarious, giving us a truly unforgettable memory that our guests will talk about for years to come!

The only small hiccup was a mispronunciation of the bride’s maiden name during one of the announcements. While it was a minor slip, it’s the only thing that kept this from being a perfect 10.

We hired Selective Sound for DJ and up-lighting for our wedding at Tenk West Bank in May 2022. I was super nervous/picky about hiring a DJ because I've been to weddings where the DJ really doesn't know what they're doing and it makes the day pretty chaotic and unpleasant for guests. We could not have had a better experience with Selective Sound! Jay R was super approachable and very easy to work with in the early days of planning. He answered the many questions I had without pressuring me to purchase anything I didn't want or have the budget for. We ended up doing a 32-piece uplighting at our venue and it totally enhanced the space (as Jay said that it would!). On wedding day, our DJ was Marcus. We loved Marcus!!! Marcus was super thorough and made me feel totally at ease. He was cool as a cucumber the whole night and I knew that our wedding was in good hands. The dance floor was SUPER important to my husband and I. We've got a lot of big dancers in our group and we really wanted modern music while also saving some space for oldies for our parents. Marcus had the perfect blend and he really kept us hyped until the very last song! We received a ton of compliments about the energy of our day and that had a lot to do with Marcus! Wedding entertainment can make or break your day. Marcus and Selective Sound made ours incredible and we are so grateful!!

DJ Danny was very professional and organized. We appreciated him taking time getting to know us and going through each detail of the event very thoroughly. Danny gave us good suggestions for our wedding timeline and music selections. We were very happy with how everything sounded from the ceremony until the end of the reception. Our guests and us had so much fun dancing the night away!!

We heard good things about Selective Sound Entertainment--so we booked them. Our original DJ through them was very professional and helped us figure out how we wanted the night to flow and what kind of music we wanted when. A week before the wedding, he broke his leg, so Jay R took over as DJ and was awesome--he got sound working for our livestream of the ceremony, and people came up to me to compliment how good the ceremony music was. The rest of the night was a blast as well. I was worried about many things during the wedding, but the DJ wasn't one of them.
