We had some pretty unique requests (LGBTQ owned or ally vendors, sober/recovery friendly options with a full bar still available, non-religious only) and they were able to recommend the perfect vendor for our every need. They were organized, efficient, communicative and kept our stress levels to an absolute minimum. The wedding went off without a single hiccup and the day was absolutely stunning. They're the best in the biz and worth every penny and then some for sure!

Sarah was absolutely incredible! She is so kind, warm, and attentive! She always got back to us in a timely manner and answered any questions or concerns we had. Day of the wedding is where she truly shines!! She was always one step ahead, always anticipated our needs, and ran everything so smoothly and effectively. She was constantly checking in and grabbing anything I needed from safety pins to beverages. She literally picked a booger out of my nose right before I walked down the aisle! Talk about going above and beyond!

Planning a wedding in the unpredictable Colorado Rocky Mountains over a holiday weekend is no small task—but thanks to Sarah at Mountainside Events, our July 5th wedding was everything we dreamed of and more.

With two stunning but logistically different venues—Saint Malo's Chapel on the Rock in Allenspark for the ceremony, followed by a brunch reception at Nest Above in Estes Park—Sarah managed every detail with professionalism, poise, and genuine heart.

She has a graceful, behind-the-scenes way of keeping everything moving seamlessly. From coordinating with our harpist at the chapel to timing the jazz trio at brunch, she made sure each transition felt natural. She also kept all our vendors on track and the day running smoothly across both locations. Thanks to her calm and steady presence, everything felt completely stress-free—we were able to be fully present and truly savor every moment.

But it wasn’t just the logistics. It was all the thoughtful touches that made the day feel so personal and filled with meaning. Sarah set up the kids' activity table to be both fun and beautifully done, keeping our 16 little guests happily entertained. She also created a loving tribute space to honor our late loved ones, arranging photos in a way that was simple, respectful, and full of care.

One of our favorite gestures: Sarah reused floral arrangements from the chapel, thoughtfully placing them around the brunch venue to add warmth and beauty in unexpected places. She also scattered photos of us as a couple throughout the space, inviting guests to connect with our story as they celebrated alongside us.

We are actually from DFW Texas and wanted a very small destination wedding in Colorado! We got engaged in December 2023 and began planning in January 2024 for a December 2024 wedding at The Boulders at Black Canyon Inn in Estes Park-- we reached out because of great reviews and because the business was women and LGBT owned! We got a prompt response from Taylor and soon after we began hashing things out, we were introduced to Sarah. When I say I literally COULD NOT recommend a better and more kind, equipped, and nimble coordinator!!! Sarah is so fantastic, incredibly organized, and her positive "don't sweat it" energy makes the entire planning process feel like a breeze. The wedding was super easy to plan with her help, which was worth its weight in gold when both my spouse and I work full-time! We were able to make 'fun' decisions more often than logistical ones :)

We did opt for their largest planning package, but I would spend that over and over again for the level of effort and care that went into our wedding. Every vendor she recommended to us and helped us hire was absolutely INCREDIBLE!!! I have no doubt that their month of coordination and elopement packages and all other offerings have the same level of care dedicated to your event, and their relationships with other local event services really helped us get the best and brightest vendor team.

On a more personal level, two days before our wedding there was a huge and heartbreaking falling out with our families, to the point where we were worried the day might be ruined and irreparable. Sarah picked up the phone immediately, patiently sat on the phone with me as I cried, told me to not worry about logistics, that was the easy part, but to call her if I needed to talk or if either my spouse or I needed anything at all. She also personally drove my in-laws to our rehearsal dinner in her car when they got iced out of their AirBNB the next day, and worked her magic with the venue staff to organize a shuttle to pick them up after as well for an incredible price. She made edits to the timeline on the fly so seamlessly, it's like they were written into the plan from the start.

The day of was FLAWLESS. If there was any sort of issue, we did not hear about it! I was a little nervous getting ready on my own that morning but as soon as Sarah and Taylor showed up literally all of that melted away. Everything came together beautifully and was set up exactly as we envisioned. Sarah even helped pack up our belongings, food and cake, and grabbed our room key to go put it in our suite fridge so we didn't have to. I am certain she did so much more behind the scenes that we didn't even know about since we were so busy having fun dancing. Both of them were so, so sweet. I honestly had no expectations one way or another, but it truly was the best day of my life, and my spouse Elliott agrees. :)

I, the wife lol, am incredibly Type-A and have a hard time relinquishing control in my daily life. The way Sarah did everything the way I would have, or BETTER, made this feel like such a dream. We were truly guests of honor at our own wedding and basically all we had to do at the end of the night was sober up and grab our junk from the getting ready rooms, haha.

I know this is so long winded already, but if you're on the fence about it, PICK MOUNTAINSIDE EVENTS!!!!! You will not be disappointed, it's some of the best money we've ever spent. The Mountainside Events team was so helpful in planning our July 2024 wedding. We first connected with Taylor in October 2023, and she actually had the idea for our venue, The Mishawaka. We absolutely fell in love with the idea of our wedding there, and Taylor took time to get to know us and our vision for the wedding really well, in order to bring that vision to life. About 2 months prior to the wedding, we connected with Sarah, our wedding coordinator. She has amazing energy and was so excited to help us every step of the way. From doing a final walk-through at the venue, to providing inventory from MSE for items we could rent for the wedding, to just trouble shooting any issues we came across along the way, Sarah was consistently very positive, accessible and responsive, and really pulled everything together. We absolutely loved everything about our wedding day, and couldn’t have done it without her, our assigned coordinator Randi and the rest of the MSE team!
