Hi, I'm Sean! I’m a Wedding and Portrait Photographer based in Colorado. I love the outdoors, my dog, and of course, photography!
When it comes to wedding photography, I capture the day as candidly and unobtrusively as possible, but also recognize that you may need a bit more direction and help when it comes to posing, organizing the family for portraits, or putting together a timeline. Don’t worry, I’m here to help you with all of the above.
My style is best described as "environmental portraiture". I've developed a unique way of capturing photos over my 11-year career as a wedding photographer by incorporating the beautiful Colorado landscape and scenery. I'll let my photos do the talking, go check out my portfolio!

Wonderful Photographer!!!
I recently had the pleasure of working with Sean for a photoshoot, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience and the results. As someone who didn’t know what to do in front of the camera, Sean made the entire process effortless. His guidance and expertise made me feel comfortable and confident.

Sean is incredible!
We didn’t even need to wait to get all of our pics back to write a raving review about Sean and Lara Photography - our teasers and his vibes on our wedding day/throughout the process was more than enough to recommend him to ANYONE! Sean is professional, funny, personable, made us feel so comfortable not even being able to meet before the wedding day due to lots of external circumstances. We had such a blast on our wedding day with Sean and cannot wait to see the rest of the pictures. Do not hesitate to hire Sean as your wedding photographer, all of my bridesmaids are still raving about him and want to hire him for their own weddings!!! 11/10 for Sean :)

Amazing to work with!
Sean shot our engagement photos and wedding day! He was easy to work with and very responsive to emails throughout the planning process. When we had to postpone our wedding due to Covid—19, he was very flexible to move to another day with us. He was very personable and professional!

Awesome experience
We had our wedding impacted by COVID-19 and needed to find a new photographer a month before the wedding and were so fortunate we found Sean. We fell in love with his website gallery and knew he was a true professional with an eye that can't be replicated. Sean proved himself to be responsive, flexible, and incredible for the day of our wedding. He was sure to know what was important to us and also was great at advising us as to what would work best, based on his professional experience. He exceeded every expectation we had and when we viewed his gallery of our wedding, we were so impressed and amazed he was the only person on site with us as it looked like he must have had another photographer to help with all the different angles and shots! He also is very well connected and helped us fill other vendors that we needed and were thrilled with. Sean is an absolute bargain and would recommend him to anyone.

Sean Lara - The Man - The Myth - The Legend
There is so much that can be said about Sean. I know I will forget something. If you have looked at his website, you already know he takes the most beautiful and stunning photos you’ve ever seen. What you don’t know is how kind, caring, and professional Sean is until you’ve worked with him. He puts you at ease, doesn’t tell you what to do and just let’s you enjoy your love and your moments together as a couple. It helps to find your inner adventurer, because Sean will take you wherever you are willing to go to get “the shot” — the one you will want to get a giant canvas of to hang in your living room as art because it is that stunning. Sean is such genuine guy with an amazing talent of being able to capture every moment, such as your mom tearing up at your first dance while also taking pictures of your first dance!! We will hire him again and again and again!

Wonderful!!
Sean Lara’s photography is one of a kind!! He did a wonderful job with our photos, and answered all our questions along the way, both promptly and politely. He has a very creative eye and makes the pictures beautiful and interesting! There weren’t very many pics to choose from for the family/friend portrait pics with the bride and groom, only 1 of each set of people (granite our list of portrait pics was pretty long!!), and only a couple of our guests at their tables – which I was kind of bummed about, but the pictures we’re going to want to hang up in our home and put in albums are the ones of us – and those are GORGEOUS and perfect and magical! For those, we are going to have a hard time narrowing down because so many of them are our favorites! He focuses on pics of the bride and groom, loves movement in them, and has such a creative eye for lighting and angles. I would highly recommend him!!! 😊 Thanks Sean!!!

I know saying 5 stars is easy but if they asked for 10 I would give them! My daughter and I interviewed several photographers for her wedding and were impressed right away with Sean's interest and overall quality of his work. He did not let us down! Besides the most wonderful pictures we received, he was so easy to work with and really cares about your day! Even though he was surrounded by all these crazy women he kept his cool and kept us all on course! If you are having a wedding coming up you have to at least go meet Sean and his wife Lyssa and see what they can do for you. You will be amazed and end up very happy! Thank you Sean for making this wonderful day so much less stressful and for your awesome pictures and professionalism..
