Mobydish is a lifesaver! Our original caterer was very unreliable and expensive. Mobydish did all the nitty gritty work to make our menu perfect, and for a fraction of the cost of our original provider. The night of, I couldn't have asked for better service. The food was excellent, especially the cake. My husband and I loved being able to completely customize the cake to fit our wants and needs. Their staff was also next level. Super professional, friendly and on top of everything.
Planning a wedding is a job in itself. I'm very thankful I found Mobydish, the food at my wedding was perfect because of them.

I just used MobyDish for our 4th of July wedding! So if you haven’t heard of Moby Dish, they are a catering company but without a kitchen! They were born in California and New York and the idea is to pick up drop catering from restaurants (you get to choose the restaurants on their site) but they provide drivers for pick up, staffing, beautiful chafing dishes and displays, etc. to serve the food. They just branched out into Austin fairly recently and the wedding industry in general. With the wedding package, they also provide bussing and cake cutting and packing/cleaning catering related things. We were thrilled with them! The food looked amazing, and the servers came around often to clear plates and trash, etc. In addition to the wedding services, for $3884 we got appetizers for cocktail hour (queso/chips, pimento cheese/crackers, hummus/toast for 75), a three meat/four side BBQ buffet for 96 people (we fed our vendors and also wanted to pay for 10 people more than needed in case of heavier eaters), 8 veggie burgers as replacement for meat for vegetarians, a wedding cake for cutting (fed 8), and 75 matching cupcakes for guests. I also want to give a special shout out to head caterer Vanessa! She has a wedding coordinator background and was ON IT on the questions she asked on how we wanted food staged, timed, etc. She was worth her weight in gold! I really think Moby Dish should have an add-on service for day-of coordinator and use her in that capacity! Moby Dish is such a great idea to save money on catering and get a lot of options, as you can mix and match food items from different restaurants that partner with them, and you still get the high level you expect from wedding caterers!

From the very beginning, our main point of contact was incredibly responsive, and the on-site staff was extremely professional. What really impressed me was that they sent us online menus within a day of our initial contact. As we were having a wedding with 300 guests, we decided to try multiple cuisines and THEY DIDN'T DISAPPOINT! Both cuisines showed up on time and everything was set up by their staff right when we needed it.
Mobydish worked with local vendors to curate a fantastic menu that everyone loved (we're not from Austin so we trusted their selection), and the cake was especially looking amazing and delicious!
Their very detailed labels were also a nice touch that added to the overall experience for our guests.
Mobydish did everything they promised, including introducing us to awesome bartenders and taking care of the trash as requested by our venue. We felt taken care of from start to finish and after getting a few different quotes, I can say their pricing was unbeatable. I highly recommend Mobydish to anyone looking for quality catering at an affordable price!

We wanted to keep it simple with a very casual reception and under a tight budget. We had trouble finding anyone supporting that until we came across MobyDish. They found us an amazing local restaurant and our per-head cost was $25. Just fantastic.
Their caterer was quick and efficient and cleaned up the buffet as well. They rock they really do.

We recently married in Austin, and it was an emotional rollercoaster. Everything from the venue to the decorations to the photographer went wrong. The catering by Mobydish was the only thing that went exactly as planned. They provided buffet-style catering, and the food was hot and tasty over the entire event. I was relieved not to have to worry about that at least, and all of my guests enjoyed the food!

I cannot recommend MobyDish enough for all your wedding food needs!! What was so great about them is that we didn’t have to spend time doing any food screening - they handled everything from the appetizers and meal to even the cake! The food was absolutely delicious and there was a variety of dietary options with allergen labels to accommodate all our guests needs. The cake was incredible too. Most beautiful wedding cake I’ve seen - the guests wouldn’t stop taking pictures of it! And it was so tasty!

The presentation of all the food and cake was impeccable too. And all the staff were so friendly and went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met. What was also amazing was that all of it was planned in less than a week too!

I definitely recommend using MobyDish for your wedding. They also work with a variety of partners to help with planning other parts of your wedding too. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would !
