Macaluso's is a banquet hall wedding venue located in Hawthorne, New Jersey. Our property offers a great deal of space for hosting wedding your celebrations such as engagement parties, ceremonies, and receptions. A refined setting, there is much to admire both inside and outside our location.
Facilities and Capacity
For your ceremony, the happy couple can join inside as their nearest and dearest gather to share the milestone moment. Cushioned chairs can be arranged either side of the aisle in one of the main ceremony sites. At the head of the room, the couple can become newlyweds as they say their vows, exchange rings, and say ‘I do’.
After your ceremony, the wedding party can make their way towards the Cocktail Lounge to indulge at your cocktail hour as they await the main reception. The mahogany staircase that leads into the Grand Ballroom offers an appropriately grand entryway for the newly married couple. Here, up to 350 people can celebrate as everyone welcomes you. After this, your guests enjoy some culinary delights and dance the night away.
Elsewhere, the Venetian Room offers somewhere for you and your to enjoy dessert as everyone mingles. The many spaces available at Macaluso’s include La Travernetta, Portofino, and Capri. Additionally, there are ocourtyards which may be availed of to suit clients’ wishes.
Services Offered
An event planner is available for the couple who are in need of some help to coordinate and organize their special occasion. This professional can guide the newlyweds so that their dreams are brought to life. To complement this service, Macaluso's attendants are on hand to ensure that the wedding party has an enjoyable time. Outside vendors are welcome to come on site, which means that appropriate talent may be hired to add extra character and color to the venue.
Cuisine
A variety of cuisine packages are available to choose from at Macaluso's. The Wedding Package, Royal Wedding Package, and Deluxe Wedding Package each offer diverse culinary delights. Depending on which one is selected, your wedding party can indulge in fare such as fried calamari, roast quail, seafood risotto, and more. Beverages such as champagne, wine, and liquor are also available. As the evening drifts towards nighttime, guests can enjoy hot beverages as the last of the wedding cake is savored.

We chose Macaluso's to have our Granddaugters Christening Party . It was "Magnificient". The party was for about 35 family members with a bunch of toddlers running around.The outdoor venue was an elegant but comfortable setting . With Fountains spewing water, Fire and water, classical Archways and columns beautifully landscaped. Then came the food . The Classical Buffet was beautifully presented and it was nothing less than spectacular. THE QUALITY AND ABUNDANCE of the food was Delicious. Every single Item was perfect. All I heard from my Guests all day was, how incredible the food was.
The entire staff was so professional and took to every detail. Friendly, helpful, accomodating. Couldn't do enough. The entire management team owner Elias , sons, nephews, bro- in-laws came out to the party to check on the events progress. Elias and family were soo gracious and just a delight to speak to and deal with. The attentiveness to every detail makes Macaluso's experience second to none. I highly recommend this venue for any occassion. Your guests will leave with their best experience ever. Macaluso's truly is in a class of its own. Thank you Elias , Nat , Maroon, and your gracious wife " the real boss" ; she was so charming to meet. If you are thinking of having a party. Don't waste your time shopping. Go to Macaluso's. Amazing venue must book!
My Fiancé and I had our engagement party at Macaluso’s on April 14th and it was an absolute dream! There is not one thing I would have changed. Elias our sales rep was PHENOMENAL! I can not say enough good things about him. From the very second I called to book to the 300 times I called, he was super accommodating! So even if you think having your event here is out of reach, call anyway, they will absolutely do their best to work within your budget. All our guest raved about the food.
It was DELICIOUS !! The aesthetic of the venue is out of this world. It is breath taking from the moment you walk in the lobby, and continues to take your breath away as you walk through the hallway into the main ballroom. Our guests could not stop raving about our party, the venue, the food! 10/10 for sure! Book your next event at Macaluso’s if you want a showstopper event. You WILL NOT be disappointed. A HUGE thank you to Elias, Maroon, and the entire Macaluso’s team for making us feel like family and ensuring we had a night to remember!

Attentiveness to every wedding detail!
September. 2021 . Our daughter’s long awaited ceremony and reception at Macaluso ‘s was sidelined by Covid. Fortunately, over a year later the re-scheduled event went just as planned. Not only was the outdoor area completed and landscaped, but the semi-tent area on the patio allowed for enough shade and ample overhead space as for video footage. Guests were initially greeted with champagne as they awaited the wedding. All fresh flowers were set up by the florist outdoors on an arched trellis, with the beautiful stone pillars as a backdrop. Indoors, the cocktail hour was superb, as was the dinner following the hour. The beautiful lighting and chandeliers throughout added so much elegance. We had approximately 150 guests, 19 tables. We had less guests per table than usual to make the evening as comfortable for guests as possible. Many traveled far and wide and commented how much they enjoyed every moment. The staff was professional, helpful, friendly, and there for anything you might need from beginning to the very end. There was no question left unanswered or detail not addressed by Elias or Maroon during the planning of this day! The bridal attendant, Noel was excellent , knowing what to do during the evening and helping with all aspects of the bridal party, from the corsages, veil, the gathering of brides train and bustle etc.
Macaluso’s is a beautiful venue for any event and it was a pleasure being there throughout the planning stage and I highly recommend Macaluso’s.

A Fairytale Wedding at Macaluso's
My husband and I had our wedding and reception at Macaluso's on August 1, 2021. I've held off on writing this review because I've struggled to put into words how absolutely amazing EVERYTHING at Macaluso's is. From the moment we met with Maroon and saw Macaluso's, we were blown away by how beautiful and tasteful the venue is, and how warm and accommodating the staff was from the get-go. We had been planning our wedding since 2019, and had to postpone due to the pandemic. Maroon and the rest of the staff at Macaluso's were so extremely helpful and understanding throughout the entire process. Postponing your wedding is never ideal, but we felt so lucky to be working with Macaluso's... they made it as painless as possible! Maroon was with us every step of the way, and didn't miss a single detail.
Our wedding day was truly the best day of our lives, and Macaluso's was such a big part in that. I can not even begin to explain how perfect our day was. EVERY staff member devoted every ounce of their attention to anything we needed, we were treated like royalty... but a *very* special shoutout to Maroon (our go-to!!), Nowal (a true angel), and Elias (so kind!) who really went above and beyond.
Our guests can not stop talking about how amazing our wedding was and so many people have told us it was the best wedding they've ever been to (with the most epic cocktail hour). Actually, I can't even mention Macaluso's without someone telling me how amazing the place is. Macaluso's and their staff will always be a very special part of our lives and we look forward to many more celebrations there over the years.

Live Theatre Production was a hit!!
Back in May, the Hawthorne Pride Alliance sponsored its very first live dinner theatre experience at Macaluso's. The production, based on a wedding, was the first time live theatre was brought to Hawthorne. Although a play, Macaluso's made it seem as if the guests were at a real wedding. EVERYTHING WAS BEYOND PERFECT! The food was delicious, the service was impeccable, the accommodations were awesome, the entire experience was just perfect. People are still talking about the show and Macaluso's! On a scale of 1-5 stars--- five stars is not enough!!! I highly recommend this venue!!

Absolutely perfect
I just had my wedding here on 8/14/21 and it was a fairytale. The staff and everyone there were amazing. The food all came out hot and at once for 100 people. I had a bridal assistant and she was right by my side for anything I needed the entire night. Everyone at Macaluso’s are very professional and caring. They all helped everyone with whatever was needed. It was a perfect wedding and I couldn’t of asked for more!!

Fairytale Wedding! Everything was perfect!
Ever since my brother got married at Macaluso’s years ago, I knew that this was the venue I would want to host my own wedding. Now it was my chance. The food was exactly how I remembered it, delicious and plentiful. Even now, months later, people are still telling me about how amazing the food was! Since my last visit there, the venue underwent a massive renovation that is, quite honestly, awe inspiring. From the white-marbled floors, to the brand-new patio and ceremony area, to the lighting in the main ballroom and bridal suite, Macaluso’s provided everything we needed to make the wedding we planned into a reality. Maroon (Matar) treated us like family since the moment we walked through the door and pulled out all of the stops when it came to what he provided for us. Not only did the wedding go flawlessly, but when it came to moving the wedding from October 2020 to June 2021, Maroon selflessly provided new dates and times without any extra hassle. The event staff (from the managers to the captains to the attendants and servers) were amazingly polite, professional, and courteous throughout the entire day. The set-up was immaculate, the timing and presentation of all the courses were perfect, and the only thing left to my husband and I was to have an amazing time.
Every detail imaginable was taken care of, and the staff made sure that we ate, drank, and fully enjoyed our wedding day without a thing to worry about.
There is no other place to have your wedding (or event), trust me, you will not regret it.

Wedding Review
I cannot recommend Macalusos enough. The team at Macalusos was very responsive to emails and so accommodating with constant changes because of Covid. The venue is absolutely gorgeous. The food was amazing. Most of my guests were full before the entree was served. The staff was friendly and attentive. I had the most amazing and unforgettable wedding at Macaluso's!

Macaluso’s did an amazing job at my wedding. The staff was amazing literally. They did exactly what I asked for and an outstanding job. I know people are still talking about how beautiful the venue is and the decor !!!!
