Located in scenic Palmyra, Virginia, the family-owned and -operated Barns at Layz S Ranch is a classic, rustic wedding venue. With over 300 acres of working farmland as their backdrop, couples can host their wedding ceremony, reception, or elopement, as well as their bridal shower, engagement party, or rehearsal dinner at the facility. The potential settings are endless with both indoor and outdoor event spaces, featuring a wooden wedding arbor, an expansive patio, and indoor and outdoor fireplaces. Picturesque photos can be taken next to the pond and wooden bridge, with the rolling country hills providing a perfect backdrop.

Facilities and Capacity
Couples can host a gorgeous outside ceremony on the hand-stamped concrete patio, or opt for a covered pavilion ceremony. The pavilion is open on three sides to bring the beautiful scenery indoors, but the sides and barn-style doors can be closed in the event of inclement weather. Inside the pavilion, lighting is provided by lanterns and chandeliers, and a large hand-crafted fireplace takes spotlight, with rocks from the farm incorporated into its design. The outdoor patio is attached to the pavilion, creating an extra space that can be used for a ceremony, reception area, or dance floor. A second pavilion was completed in 2018 to provide a climate-controlled reception space that is separate from the ceremony site, but within close proximity. This pavilion is completely enclosed and offers a gas fireplace as well as lanterns and chandeliers for lighting. As wedding guests arrive, wedding parties can use the bridal suite and groom's dressing room to get ready.

Services Offered
When couples choose to host their event at The Barns at Layz S Ranch, they also gain access to the venue’s handcrafted farm tables and benches, chairs, bars, barrels, as well as other furniture options.. Parking attendants can help guests find parking on-site, and staff indoors can help set up and provide trash removal. The farm store can be used as a catering staging area or for bar service. The venue allows outside vendors, giving couples flexibility and budget-friendly options. The venue also has permanent restroom facilities for ease and comfort despite the country setting.
