An engagement photo session is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to capture the sense of joy and excitement before marrying the one you love. Sometimes, it’s even cementing the special moment of a proposal itself. Taking engagement photos provides a great way for couples to get used to the camera and Laurie values this time as an opportunity to better understand the types of photos they favor. Typically, she tries to capture a more casual vibe that candidly portrays the love, warmth, and familiarity a couple feels for each other.

Weddings

Laurie's contemporary documentary style captures the purest essence and emotion of the wedding celebration. Laurie intends not only to be your photographer but your friend and support during the planning process and on your wedding day.

She offers basic and full-day wedding photography packages that are reasonably priced for all couples. Her full event packages include up to five hours of coverage, and up to 600 professionally edited digital images. Laurie works solo but has relationships with several strong second shooters if you wish to add additional coverage to your day. Your photographs are available via upload, and via a secure online web gallery. While editing the entire collection takes up to 14 weeks of post-production (to achieve the highest quality), Laurie will email you sample photos of your wedding within 2-3 days. You may also order custom-made photo books and albums from Laurie. Options include:

• Leather or metallic-bound Italian coffee table albums
• Parent albums (smaller versions of your coffee table book)

Experience

Laurie Rhodes has more than 22 years’ experience as a wedding photographer in New York. She is a former TV executive; her career led her to roles with Broadway producers McCann & Nugent, CBS, Inc., and Paramount Pictures. Her work on the Maury Povich Show led Laurie to a career in photography, when one of her colleagues asked her to photograph her wedding. Since then she has been exceeding the expectations of couples in New York with stunning, high quality photography services.
