  Incredible!!!

  Hiring Laurie was one of our best wedding decisions! She captured so many special moments and we couldn't be happier with the results. We loved her focus on taking natural, rather than overly posed, photos. It rained horribly on the day, but Laurie was ready with a Plan B and the pics turned out amazing!

  A true rock star

  Laurie was flexible, helpful, professional, and most important of all, really good at taking photos. She worked with me on a surprise proposal to my then-girlfriend and on top of capturing the exact moment, she had the awareness to corral assistance from random tourists and park-goers at Central Park to ensure the spot we had settled on for the proposal and photos would be available and free of crowds. She is quick on her feet, receptive to suggestions and knows how to incorporate your wishes into great photos.

  So grateful for Laurie!

  Laurie went above and beyond when I hired her to take photos of my proposal in Central Park. I really appreciate how invested she was in the entire process. No detail was too small. She was the perfect guide who directed us to beautiful locations throughout the park. My fiancée and I are so grateful for her ability to capture such a special moment in our lives!

  Great experience!

  We had a fantastic experience working with Laurie and love the photos. She was very flexible as our plans over two days evolved. She also met with us to do a walk through prior to the wedding to get to know us and really focused on understanding our hopes for the wedding photos. The photos just arrived and we love them.   Engagement photos

  Laurie was a true professional in the planning process, and spent ALOT of time discussing potential photos with my fiancé and I before the event. Ontop of the photos themselves, she also made the event itself a blast! Traveled all over the west village NY to get the photos we wanted, and created great memories along the way. Highly recommend!

  Engagement Photos

  I contacted Laurie to take photos of my proposal to my fiancée, Desirée. Laurie was great, visited the site before the proposal, talked me through the best locations, etc. We also had long conversations about the style of photos I was looking for, if there were specific shots, and so on to make sure that I got the best experience possible. The day of the proposal comes, and of course unexpected issues arise with the location. Laurie didn't panic though and was able to quickly find a new spot for me to propose. The pictures turned out beautifully and are my favorite pictures of me and Dez. I cannot recommend Laurie enough!

  Amazing Proposal Photos

  Laurie was perfect for helping plan a total surprise engagement in gramercy park, where she pretended to be an event hostess to keep the surprise going. She was able to capture the surprise as well as the actual proposal and the after photos to celebrate. Very flexible, and very generous with spending time beforehand to help plan it all out to make sure the pictures come out great.

  The literal best

  Laurie was sooooo fun to shoot with and incredibly easy going. We wanted documentary style (less posed) more fun and us and she made that possible. My fiancé loved her too. We were so obsessed with our results and got so many compliments on how authentic they were.

  Laurie, we are SO happy with these photos. We just went through all of them for what I'm sure will be the first of many times today, and the whole set captures the day so well! And there's a great mix of sweet and pretty and funny shots. Our families will be so glad to see them.   Laurie was a joy to work with every step of the way (and as our wedding was postponed a year due to Covid, there were some extra steps!). She is a gifted artist and a total pro. She was able to disappear into the crowd at our wedding and catch so many amazing, candid, uninhibited moments. Each photo captured the joy of the event and the essence of every person in it. We feel so lucky to have these images to look back on forever.

  Laurie Rhodes - A Lovely Day in June

  Laurie was wonderful. In NYC, at the time of the wedding, the City was just making attempts to come back, we had a small wedding and Laurie was right there to help make the event a memorable one. Laurie worked tirelessly that day and was a joy to have mingling with our guests. Laurie caught the mood and vibrancy of the day. As well as the love.

  Amazing Photographer

  I hired Laurie to film and photograph our proposal. I was looking for someone to capture my proposal to my then girlfriend. Someone who would capture all of the emotions of this special moment in our lives so we can share with our family and friends. The entire experience working with her was extremely positive and I am very happy with my decision. Laurie was very responsive, accomodating, helpful, and friendly throughout the entire process.
  
  I initially found Laurie when researching proposal photographers online. She had stellar reviews on multiple sites and her background in Entertainment was the perfect fit for what I was looking for. My proposal was very unique, so I wasn't sure if she would even be willing to help. While all the other photographers either didnt respond or said they could only photograph or film the proposal, Laurie was more than happy to assist with both. In fact, in her first email she even told me the exact camera equipment she was planning to use for the night! You can clearly tell just how passionate she is about her work! Communicating with Laurie during the planning stage was easy. She was very responsive and offered to hop on the phone to both discuss my initial plan for the proposal and then walk through everything the day of. She also offered some invaluable insights that came in handy during the proposal based on her experiences in the Entertainment industry. The night of the proposal she was on time, texting with me to make sure every step was perfect, and discreetly capturing the moment. She was also able to easily adjust to the situation when a few obstacles beyond our control arose at the last minute. Even after the proposal was complete, she was still very responsive and wanted to make sure we were happy with the finished product (which we really appreciated!). She sent me the film the next morning and the photos a week later. We shared with our family over the holidays and everyone was amazed with her work. She was able to capture every emotion of that evening and our families said they felt like they were right there with us!
  
  Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I would absolutely recommend Laurie to anyone in need of a wedding, engagement, or general photographer. I know it can be a stressful thing trying to find the right photographer for such an important moment in your life, but I can honestly say you will not be disappointed with hiring Laurie for your big day!

  Beautiful wedding photography

  We were so lucky to have Laurie photograph our wedding! She captured the day so perfectly, with all the moments we were hoping for and then some. She told us a lot about her "documentary" style photography in our initial call, and we immediately knew that's exactly the kind of photography we wanted. Perfect!
