Located in Long Island City, New York, The Foundry is an industrial-style wedding venue that dates back to the 19th century. This setting features open brick walls, sky roof lighting, and indoor balconies on both sides which combine to create a modern aesthetic. It is a highly flexible space when it comes to floor plan design, and can easily accommodate a couple’s distinct vision. Outdoors, couples can take advantage of the iconic Manhattan skyline and use it for beautiful photographs. For over 15 years, this venue has been hosting ceremonies and receptions and satisfying couples with their beautiful spaces, impeccable service, and unique furniture. The Du Val family, the owners of this property, have painstakingly renovated the space to reflect its original character while also adding an extra oomph of sophistication and beauty.
Facilities and Capacity
The Foundry's interior offers 3,000 square feet of versatile space. In addition, it features an outdoor courtyard, a rooftop terrace, an indoor greenhouse, a lounge space, and a fully equipped industrial kitchen. The courtyard can be tented to provide shelter from inclement weather. The property comfortably accommodates a maximum of 180 guests. Couples can also choose to rent the Foundry Terrace and the Du Val Terrace for romantic wedding photos. Get-ready rooms are also provided for relaxation and preparation for the occasion to come.

Their professional and friendly staff at the Foundry has experience with hosting and planning every stage of the celebration, from the engagement party to the reception. They are also happy to host elopements. Three staff members will be on-site throughout the course of your day to assist with any inconveniences or issues that arise. Dream venue
Fairytale venue!
It is no wonder it can be challenging to find Saturday availability, but the calendar on their website is extremely accurate. I kept checking dates and magically a Saturday in September became available through another party changing their date. We were lucky enough to have already done a tour of the space, so we were able to secure the date. If you are interested in the venue make sure you do a site visit, let the girls know, and keep checking the calendar!
Unforgettable
Almost three months later, our guests still rave about how they loved the venue and couldn’t believe we’d found such a unique space. It reminded us of a secret garden, and it seems impossible to take a bad photo there due to the beautiful lighting, intimate setting, and the stunning contrast between the natural and industrial elements. Our wedding day still feels like this wonderful dream.

We've been lucky enough to work at the Foundry almost every week for the past few years and are still blown away and awestruck every time we visit. It's hard to believe a dream venue like the Foundry exists in NYC (or anywhere) They've got it ALL! Each design detail has been perfectly thought out. They've somehow managed to preserve the original historical elements and details while making it feel fresh and impeccable. Even the sunlight there filters beautifully and the vibes are always so magical. Theres always something new and interesting to look at and they're constantly thinking of ways to make sure their guests' experiences are top notch. Not only is the venue itself incredible, The team there is GOLD. They'll make sure your process is flawless and are total professionals all while also being super easy to work with.
Make no mistake the Foundry is a unique and fabulous venue however it's Alison and her staff that make it the special place it is. They are warm and accommodating and make every one there, whether it's a client, guest or vendor feel special and welcome. As a DJ who works in many venues here in New York City I really appreciate their hospitality.
