This is a very delayed review for our wonderful wedding September 29, 2018 at The Foundry! Angela and Lindsey were so helpful during the many emails and site visits to make my dream wedding come to life! The history of this space is palpable, and the loving care and maintenance does not go unnoticed. There are countless options for configuration depending on which spaces you use for ceremony, reception, etc. Our guests were truly wowed by the venue and our wedding felt like a fairytale!
It is no wonder it can be challenging to find Saturday availability, but the calendar on their website is extremely accurate. I kept checking dates and magically a Saturday in September became available through another party changing their date. We were lucky enough to have already done a tour of the space, so we were able to secure the date. If you are interested in the venue make sure you do a site visit, let the girls know, and keep checking the calendar!

This venue is a dream. We had looked at a few venues around the city searching for a space with an industrial hint to it. I knew we would love it by seeing the photos alone but once we walked into our scheduled tour, we immediately fell in love with it. It’s beautiful on its own but you can really transform the space to any look you’re going for. The venue allowed for us to have the ceremony, cocktail hour and dinner reception in 3 different spaces, which a lot of the other industrial spaces in the city didn’t offer. Our guests were all taken back by the beauty of each space. Our wedding wes in September and the weather was perfect for candlelight dinner alfresco in the courtyard. At first, I was overwhelmed with the fact that you need to separately hire each of your vendors but in the end we were able to get exactly what we wanted by assembling our own team. Angela and Lindsey were so awesome. They answered all of my emails with many questions very quickly, always making me feel as if we were their only clients when in fact they are pretty much booked every weekend over a year in advance. Their suggestions were so helpful when it came to layouts and considerations for a rain plan. I definitely recommend this venue. You’ll fall in love at first sight during any season.Sent on 12/05/2019

We looked at 10 venues before coming to the Foundry, and when we walked in, we knew we had found the one. The industrial Long Island City neighborhood literally disappears when you enter the Foundry. The venue’s industrial-yet-refined spaces and gorgeously planted courtyard make you feel like you left the hustle of the city – the view of the Queenborough Bridge towers from the courtyard are the only reminder you’re a stone throw from Manhattan. The Foundry is a blank canvas (which is great in that you can pick everything you want, but can add to the work in planning your event), and its different rooms, terraces and courtyard offer many options to make your dream wedding come true. The foundry staff—Allison, Angela, and Lindsey—are experienced and responsive and will work with you to make sure your day is perfect. We were able to utilize several spaces for our wedding, including a divine dinner in the courtyard as the sun set and an incredible dance party in the main space. This place is special and transports you away from NYC to a magical place (with incredible views) for your wedding or event.Sent on 11/13/2019
Book quickly as The Foundry is popular and only does one event per day (another added benefit, not sharing the space with anyone). I could not imagine having our wedding anywhere else in NYC.
I always love working at The Foundry. It used to be just down the street from where I lived, and now that I moved further away, it's definitely one of the things I miss. Beautiful location - great staff!
We've been lucky enough to work at the Foundry almost every week for the past few years and are still blown away and awestruck every time we visit. It's hard to believe a dream venue like the Foundry exists in NYC (or anywhere) They've got it ALL! Each design detail has been perfectly thought out. They've somehow managed to preserve the original historical elements and details while making it feel fresh and impeccable. Even the sunlight there filters beautifully and the vibes are always so magical. Theres always something new and interesting to look at and they're constantly thinking of ways to make sure their guests' experiences are top notch. Not only is the venue itself incredible, The team there is GOLD. They'll make sure your process is flawless and are total professionals all while also being super easy to work with.
Make no mistake the Foundry is a unique and fabulous venue however it's Alison and her staff that make it the special place it is. They are warm and accommodating and make every one there, whether it's a client, guest or vendor feel special and welcome. As a DJ who works in many venues here in New York City I really appreciate their hospitality.
