Larz Anderson Auto Museum is the perfect unique venue - just out of the way but still conveniently located, a gorgeous park on the grounds, something to entertain your guests, and an incredible staff waiting to help. This was our dream venue and it was the absolute perfect choice. Dress it up or down, it will look fantastic any way. Your guests will be thrilled to see the exhibits and experience history! Plus what a perfect place to come back for anniversaries.

The Larz Anderson was the most amazing venue for our fall wedding. We wanted something unique, memorable, and beautiful and we got WAY more than we asked for! The manager, and assistant manager, were absolutely wonderful to work with. All of our guests raved about how amazing the venue was - to see the antique cars on display and have access to the entire museum.

The venue is so beautiful minimal decor was needed. We definitely felt like a prince and princess.

The Larz is definitely a must for any celebration

The team was really wonderful. Navigating the demands of my father in law was difficult (I know as I was managing them too!) and they were very gracious. Our wedding was gorgeous and their team was great.

We heard of Larz Anderson Museum from a friend as a possible option for our wedding and we are so glad we decided to move forward with it! Karen was an awesome venue coordinator to work with and provided everything we needed to make our day special. Karen did a great job at highlighting what the venue could offer and importantly how they interfaced with Brookline to assist with permits to make the day go off without a hitch. The venue is beautiful even from a couple that admittedly doesn’t have as much of a background with cars as this venue specializes in. Regardless, Karen shared a wealth of history not only with us but also guests as the entered the venue during the reception. Karen also helped coordinate between the catering and DJ which really allowed us to focus on the fun parts of the event and not worry as much about all the logistics. During the day of the event, Karen was wonderful with helping with decorations, helping guests navigate the museum to check out the amazing exhibits and helping take things down after the event. Thank you for making this day special and a wonderful memory to look back on for the rest of our lives.

Getting married at the Larz Anderson Museum was more special than we could have ever hoped for.

We had a party of 90. The ceremony was just outside the museum at the Temple of Love (which we reserved through the town of Brookline), the cocktail hour was in the back stable room and the reception was in the main gallery. The size of the venue was perfect for our party and we were able to comfortably accommodate all of the tables and chairs as well as have space for dancing. One really great thing about this venue, is that it is so beautiful and well lit on its own. We didn't have to worry about lights or decorations (other than flowers on the tables). This year, the car exhibit was 1920s Golden Age. With that beautiful display and the natural, castle-like feel of the museum, many of our guests later came up to us and said they felt that they were in Downton Abbey (which of course made my heart flutter).

Guests were able to walk around the museum to see the exhibit (on the main floor and downstairs), while sipping on their drinks during cocktail hour. They all really enjoyed that, and wanted to come back with family members to show them the exhibit on their own.

As the venue is a museum, we had to work with outside vendors for catering, tables and chairs. This was an incredibly easy process as we received a list of approved caterers (that ranged from very high end to modestly priced). We went with Cuisine Chez Vous for our catering needs, and I am so happy that they were on that list (because they were also amazing).

There is a space on the second floor for the bridal party to use before the ceremony. We had a private Ketubah ceremony before the ceremony outside, so we used that space to accommodate about 20 people. It worked very well.

Karen, who administers the museum, was a pleasure to work with. She was always responsive and very flexible with our requests. Karen worked with our very busy schedules to find a time to meet with us on several occasions. I will be forever grateful to her for accommodating our wedding party just before our reservation time as of course we had about 2 hours of surprise rain. The rain, as it turned out, went away just in time for our wedding photos and brought us so much good luck!

It has been about a month since our wedding, and my husband and I still feel like getting married at the Larz Anderson Museum was a dream.

We had our wedding at Larz last weekend and it was absolutely incredible! The venue itself is stunning and we utilized all of the grounds. Karen, the venue coordinator was fantastic. She is such a lovely person and was always genuinely interested in what we were planning and how she could help. Karen is so knowledgeable and helped us pick a lot of our vendors and everything was perfect! We cannot rate this venue high enough and can't wait to continue to go back and re-live our special day!

We had the ceremony and reception of our wedding inside the museum. It is an amazing place to get married. We had 120 guests and a sweet heart table. Cocktails, Photo Booth and table for appetizers and desserts in the back and a good space for dancing... it was amazing.
Karen was so helpful throughout the process and at the day of the wedding She was always available.

This was the most wonderful place to have our wedding reception. The museum is beautiful, interesting and all of our guests were amazed and had a great time. Even if you aren’t a car fanatic, you will love the exhibits and architecture. We had good weather and were able to use the outside patio for cocktail hour before heading inside for dinner and dancing. With about 100 guests, that seemed to be about the most you could fit for a sit down dinner inside and still have room to move around and dance. I also liked that there was flexibility in how we could do the seating and use the space inside. Karen at the museum was great to work with, and always very prompt in responding to emails. You do have to choose a caterer from their approved list, but there is a lot of variety and the caterer we chose was fantastic. We felt that the rental rate was reasonable, and in line with similar venues. If you want a truly unique place to have a wedding reception in the Boston area, Larz Anderson is the way to go.

Karen was great to work with and this venue really made the wedding something spectacular. We are hearing from guests that it was the best wedding they've ever attended. We set out a bar area with Hive in the outdoor space and had a band, food and photo booth inside. We paid for the extra hour to have the museum close early and it was worth it. Oh, and my wedding photos in front of the museum and at the top of the hill are absolutely epic. Worth every penny!!

We got married at Larz Anderson Auto Museum this past August. We had a our ceremony at the park and our cocktail and reception at the museum. We could not have been happier with the venue and its staff. Working with Karen Hasenfus was a pleasure from the beginning of our process. Karen and her team's professionalism, assistance and care resonated until the last guest left the venue nine months later.

We had an 80 person wedding inside the carriage house, which we thought was the perfect size. The main room overall flowed nicely and did not feel tight at all, while still maintaining a decent size dance floor. If considering a summer or late summer (when temps are slightly cooler) reception inside the museum, we recommend upping the suggested 2 fan to 3 or 4. It gets hot in that room, but that is manageable.

Other than that, you can count on a beautiful and super cool venue; and a timely, responsive and informative group to work with at the museum.
