The Worcester Art Museum was the perfect spot for our Worcester wedding ceremony and we would recommend anybody to consider it if you’re getting married in the area. The Renaissance Court is a striking room; the pictures do it justice but it’s even better in person. The room, the chapel off of the room, and the areas in and around the museum provide for a beautiful array of wedding photos. The on-site event coordinator, Jacki, was incredibly helpful to work with and really worked with us to get the perfect layout and procession setup for our ceremony. She was always accessible and accommodating as we sketched out idea after idea for the event.

Our wedding guest count was close to 160, which is probably the maximum limit I’d recommend for the space. The room technically seats 120, but we had guests line the top arches as a unique vantage point and it worked out perfectly. If that’s not an option for you, then you should consider the space limits. We were also wondering how the mosaic in the middle of the room would impact guests’ vantage points for the ceremony, since you cannot step on it - this ended up being a non-factor: everybody had perfect visibility throughout the event. The other recommendation is to have live music in this room if possible; the acoustics played out perfectly with our string quartet.

Some other details: there is ample parking in the lots next to the building and across the street, we would recommend signage directing guests to the right door for entry. The museum staff were welcoming and attentive to our guests’ needs during the ceremony

We are so glad to have had our wedding celebration at the Worcester Art Museum. It truly created a unique experience by having the galleries open to our guests throughout the night. Jacki, the event manager worked with us over the course of two years to create the perfect night (since before the COVID pandemic). She was there for any hiccups and ensured all the timeline events transitioned smoothly to one another.

When my husband and I were visiting venues, we knew we wanted something particularly unique that celebrated our relationship (our second date was at the MFA, we are big museum goers!) Visiting the WAM for the first time was almost like something out of a dream. Everything was truly picture perfect (like our guests said).
Jacki is an amazing coordinator, very prompt, professional, personable, and awesome to work with. We never stressed or worried about anything throughout the planning process.
The day itself went off without a hitch. Jacki worked closely with all of our other vendors to make sure we were following our timeline. The guests couldn't stop raving about how beautiful and unique the venue was. The lower level was even open all night so guests could explore the exhibits! Absolutely perfect. Couldn't have had our wedding anywhere else!

There aren't words to describe how perfect my wedding was at the Worcester Art Museum in the Chapter House. Of course, with all the beautiful art work it took any stress out of worrying about decorating further. The staff was helpful from the moment I booked through to the moment we said goodnight.

My husband and I tied the knot at Worcester Art Museum in October of 2018. It was the first venue we visited when planning our wedding...and we never visited any others because we couldn't picture our special day being anywhere else. The day went off without a hitch from our ceremony to the reception. It's really awesome to have the whole museum just for yourself and your guests. The venue is one of a kind and our guests sincerely enjoyed being able to explore the museum throughout the event.

I would be remiss not to mention Jackie and the team at WAM. The planning process was made simple with a list of preferred vendors, who were all familiar with the unique space. All of my questions and emails were answered within hours. On the day of the wedding, Jackie and her team made sure everything ran smoothly. As I have come to say, "every bride deserves a to have Jackie on her wedding day."

The Worcester Art Museum is a beautiful venue. Janice and Kristen were fabulous in helping us through from the planning stages to the day of the wedding. The staff was wonderful, responsive and paid attention to every detall! The venue speaks for itself not much decorating is needed. I highly recommend the Worcester Art Museum for your wedding venue.

We had our reception and ceremony at the Worcester Art Museum and it was fantastic. We worked with Janice Potter from beginning till the end and she was extremely attentive and detail oriented. We fell in love with the grand staircase as soon as we walked in and knew it would be the place we would want to be married. The price was reasonable and the venue was beyond beautiful. Janice recommended vendors to us that we worked with who were also extremely professional and experienced. On the week of the wedding Janice contacted all of the vendors and ironed out all of the minor details, eliminating a lot of stress for us. I would highly, highly recommend WAM to anyone looking for a great venue to be married in with ample parking spaces and an accommodating staff. Thanks WAM for making our special day as perfect as we imagined.

Kristen was absolutely amazing!!! She was so helpful, always made herself available, and had great feedback to help our big day go smoothly! The day of the ceremony was stress-free thanks to her professionalism and experience. The ceremony far exceeded our expectations and we owe it all to her!
