Fruitlands Museum is a wedding venue located in Harvard, Massachusetts. Beautifully situated in rural Massachusetts, just a short drive away from Boston, this elegant and charming museum is perfect for private celebrations away from the noise of the big city. The 200-acre property offers picturesque views of the glorious Nashoba River Valley, ideal for post-ceremony photos. With a range of event spaces, couples can transform each area to create the fairytale wedding they’ve always envisioned.

Facilities and Capacity

Fruitlands Museum is an expansive venue, so couples have the opportunity to host the largest and most glamorous of celebrations as well as smaller, more intimate gatherings. The majestic outdoor patio and the tented area is great for wedding receptions that can continue on into the night. Featuring glistening chandeliers, the tent's removable walls allow couples to plan an open-air style event for gorgeous summertime days. The interior and seating arrangements within the tent can be configured in various ways to best suit each couple's preferred design and style. The tent can host up to 192 guests with ample space for a dance floor and live entertainment. Additionally, the Prospect House is located adjacent to the tented patio area and can be used as a quaint bar, catering, and wedding cake area. Other event spaces include the vast lawn space surrounding the museum. Couples can create a beautiful ceremonial event space on the museum’s hill, overlooking the wide and simply breathtaking landscape. This area is brilliant for small celebrations, away from the rest of the property. However, its open space allows couples to get creative and be as extravagant as they wish. Other facilities include a number of fun exhibitions, seasonal craft festivals, and more.

Services Offered

Fruitlands Museum provides couples with multiple event services and rental items to make their planning process run as smoothly and as stress-free as possible. Included in the museum's venue rental package, couples get exclusive and private use of the Prospect House, tented patio, and the adjacent grounds. The tented area comes with many additional amenities, including the use of a dance floor, podium, 110V power source, heating, bistro lighting, tables, and chairs. i'm only getting married once, but if i got married again, i'd choose the fruitlands

The Fruitlands Museum was the most perfect venue for us. We had a medium-large sized wedding with 150 guests. The spaces were perfect to accomodate our crew: from the ceremony on the lawn to the reception under the tent. The tented reception was complete with space for our 6-member band and dance floor. We also got super lucky with weather (it was pretty perfect) but even in the rain it would have been gorgeous)! Food was great, drinks were great, and the staff above all were so kind, attentive, and organized.

A note for our coordinator, Laura. Since I did not use a personal event planner, I was so lucky to have Laura be our Sales Director for the event. Laura is both organized and flexible and was able to accomodate even our quirkiest of requests. Many thanks to Laura and the Fireside Catering team!!!

Amazing Venue!

We fell in love with the venue when we drove onto the property. The views are stunning no matter what season! We imagined having our ceremony on the grassy knoll but weather intervened and instead we had an absolutely magical ceremony under the tent amidst the rains, thunder and lightening! Laura Blessington, Sales Director and Wedding Coordinator Aficionado for Fruitlands Museum was so lovely to work with as she is attentive, warm and informative and fun! The food (Fireside Catering) was exactly as we hoped - delicious - and our guests concurred! Would definitely recommend getting married (or having any event really) at Fruitlands Museum!

The Best Wedding Venue and Team Ever!!

Getting married at the Fruitlands Museum was an incredible experience for many reasons. Laura and her team meet you with an incredible sense of kindness, professionalism, and organization throughout the entire process. It's hard to imagine staying sane planning a wedding without them! My husband and I got married on one of the few rainy days in May. Although many choose to get married at the Fruitlands Museum for its outdoor scenery, we were able to still have a beautiful and perfect wedding day while still staying dry with their rain plan. You would've thought that this was our original plan all along and our guests were not only impressed but blown away with how it all worked out. Don't let the possibility inclement weather deter you from choosing to get married here! The food was incredible and guests are still talking about it - definitely consider the burrata bar! I could not imagine our wedding day at any other venue or setting. I highly recommend that you choose to have yours here too!!

One of the most beautiful venues I've ever seen. Set atop a hillside overlooking the Nashua River Valley, Fruitlands Museum provides a breathtaking view and romantic setting for weddings and other events. The venue also includes a large permanent tent complete with chandeliers and removable sides. The caterer is wonderful as well.
