There are not enough words to describe how grateful and lucky we are to have had Joe photograph our wedding. Not only is Joe a brilliant photographer, but he is so easy going and fun to be around. We were so lucky to have Joe photograph our wedding and can’t recommend him highly enough! When we reached out to Joe, he invited us to his beautiful studio rooftop for coffee so we could get to know each other — he mentioned that your photographer is the person you spend the most time with on the wedding day, so it’s important you get along with them. Well, I can’t imagine anyone not getting along with Joe; he is such a warm, funny, and energetic person. We immediately felt so comfortable with him and confident that he was the person we wanted to capture our big day.

Throughout the months leading up to the wedding, Joe was so communicative and helpful with every question. We made a few unconventional choices for our wedding (untraditional bridal party, non-photographed first look) and Joe was so flexible and excited about whatever we wanted to do, while still offering his professional guidance on how to make the day go smoothly.

On the day of the wedding, Joe arrived early, stayed late, and brought the perfect mix of calm and organized energy to what is often a chaotic day. You can tell he sees the entire shot before he’s even taken the photo, and my mom immediately said she could see why we had picked him (since I’m also a perfectionist). His other shooters David and Taylor were such a pleasure to work with, too!

In less than a week, Joe delivered a teaser gallery of almost 100 photos that took our breath away (the perfect cure for post-wedding blues). When we went through the full gallery, it completely transported us back to the wedding day, and there were so many little moments that Joe and his team captured that we had forgotten about until we saw the photos — so many incredible candids especially. We will treasure these photos forever (and will definitely have trouble narrowing our favorites down for an album). Thank you Joe!

BOOK HIM NOW! I can’t say enough good things about Joe. If his photos aren’t enough to convince you he is the best, his personality will. Joe took the time to meet with us for drinks/dinner and really get to know us as a couple. With this time spent, he was able to choose his second photographer who would blend well with my husband’s personality as well as helped us be comfortable with him when it came time for photos. Joe is so laid back and approachable, after meeting with him I could not wait to have him be a part of my day. You don’t realize how important the photographer is until you realize just how much time you spend with them. We had to reschedule our wedding due to COVID and he was so accommodating with the date change and then just the overall change in our wedding plans. When things got a little stressful with things not going as planned on timing, Joe was the one who calmed me down, took me outside, and just had us do our photos in a relaxing manner. All of my bridesmaids commented on how wonderful he was personality wise and now that we’ve gotten our photos I just can’t praise him enough. He captured every moment perfectly. He has such an artistic eye and a true talent. And best of all, my dad just loved him!

Joe is by far the most talented wedding photographer. I've worked in the weddings and events industry for nearly a decade and have not worked with anyone whose talent comes close to Joe's. He has this incredible ability to capture all the most amazing candid moments that will take your breath away and bring you back to feeling all the emotions of your wedding day. When it came time to pick our favorite photos for the album, we had over 600! Joe's not only an expert at his craft, but one of the most kind human beings you'll ever meet. I think we found the end of the internet looking for a wedding photographer. We didn't know Joe, we just saw his website and great reviews and thought, hey, let's give it a shot. We met with him and seemed like a really nice guy and he had some good ideas for different types of pics we could take. We could not be happier. He did both our engagement and wedding pics and we love them all. We took pictures in lower Manhattan and Brooklyn for our engagement shoot and he knew a lot of great locations and went along with our ideas. After taking a bunch of family pictures at the wedding, he faded into the background and got some amazing pictures on the dance floor. There was some wild dancing going on that I didn't see until I saw the pictures! I think he captured every single person that attended which was nice to send to family. Highly recommend. Great guy. Joseph Lin really is as good as they get. My husband and I hired him as our wedding photographer and we are so happy we did. We had an engagement shoot and that really kicked off the relationship with him. He did more than what was asked of him and drove us to our location and back- we also had to sit in a ton of traffic and he was so kind throughout. On our big day, he was so professional and of course put both of us at ease. He goes well beyond his scope of a photographer. My planner did not have lighting in place for our outside ceremony and if Joseph had not brought that up, we would of been in a bad place. It is important to have people on your wedding day team that know about other facets, besides their specialty. He is the BEST. Also, our wedding party all fell in love with him!

Joe is the BEST!!!!! It's a month after the wedding and our guests are still talking about how amazing our photos are. Joe somehow managed to be completely out of the way, yet at the same time capture every single moment. We love Joe's style - which is much more natural and candid than most wedding photographers we saw. We also used Joe for our engagement shoot which was a great way to get comfortable with taking pictures and posing. We LOVE his work and both of our families want to book him for future siblings weddings already!

Hiring Joseph as our photographer was hands down the best decision we made for our wedding! The sheer volume of photographers available can be very overwhelming... so I will break down some of the many reasons why I loved him so much. 1) from the outset, Joseph’s photos stood out to me— everyone he photographed looked like they were having a blast! His ability to capture candid moments is unbelievable— we received 1000 photos and ALL of them were album worthy. 2) His personality... given that your photographer will be by your side all day, you generally want someone you like. Joseph is fun, kind, professional, hysterical, and talented all at once. It sincerely was such a pleasure to have him by my side all day. He made me feel relaxed and made sure everything was such a breeze! 3) his photos were timely and beautifully edited. Downloading them was seamless. 4) he made my husband (who does not like photos) feel so comfortable in front of the camera. He also was never in the way and we often forgot there were two photographers taking photos of us! And finally, 5) even after the wedding was over, Joseph went above and beyond for us, helping my husband put together a surprise album for my birthday. I could go on about this exceptional person, but I think you get the point. We recommend him very strongly, without any reservations.

Before we even booked our wedding venue, I had told my now husband that the most important vendor was going to be our photographer. After all, the only thing you’re left with after the big day is photos!! So you can imagine how critical I was as I spent weeks reviewing close to 100 different photographers over a year before our wedding date. I came across Joe along the way, and when I saw his portfolio I knew immediately that he was the one! We had emailed several photographers, but when we met Joe we didn’t even bother meeting the rest, and we were lucky to have booked him so far in advance as he is definitely in demand. When you meet Joe you can’t help but notice how hilarious and warm his personality is, which is absolutely key when you’re considering a wedding photographer. He immediately put us at ease, and made what could otherwise be a very awkward experience of having your photo taken a lot of fun! You will not find a better photographer for your wedding, especially if you don’t want the same boring posed photos. So many wedding photographers have the same style, but Joe is truly one of a kind. He is a fine art photographer whose work belongs in a museum! Every picture he takes is so interesting, beautiful and truly unique; we already have several engagement photos that we’re thinking of printing to hang on our wall. We have heard from numerous friends and family members that our photos are the most beautiful they have ever seen. We just received about 100 photos for our wedding sneak peak, and are so excited for him to send us the rest!
