I don't even have words for how great of an experience I had with Rachel. The makeup and hair was gorgeous, and I used to be a professional artist. The vibes were set from the beginning and Rachel just made me feel SO comfortable. She had tons of helpful items (pins, tape, etc), wine, gorgeous accessories, and is clearly a master of lighting. I don't even have my pics back, but just the unretouched images from her camera screen made my jaw drop. She posed me down to the last detail, so I didn't have to worry about if I looked wrong. I will absolutely come back for more and would recommend her to anyone looking - no matter how you feel about your looks, she will SHOW you how beautiful you are. Worth the drive from Chicago any day of the week.

Last night I plugged the jpeg of our wedding photos into our large screen TV and put the on slide show. I was AMAZED. Jeff and Rachel truly captured the entire essence of the evening. Amazing. I have to say their work is second to none. I am so incredibly relieved that we hired them. Having these photos tell the story of an evening that was mostly a blur means the world to me. I would recommend Jeff and Rachel to anyone looking for a photographer and hope to work with them again when we renew our nuptials. :-)

I found J.R. Owen at a bridal show. I was drawn to them because they are a husband and wife team and they really seem to care about the weddings that they shoot. We had several meetings before the wedding, locking down the timeline and making sure that all the important people were in the notes.

Rachel and Jeff both bring their own eye to the wedding photography. Jeff keeps things light, fun, and takes a TON of pictures. Rachel focuses on the artistic photos and sets up beautiful shots. BOTH take beautiful photos. It was a pleasure having them both photograph our wedding because we got the best of both worlds.

We got our photos extremely fast and everyone was extremely happy with the results. The other great thing is that Jeff and Rachel want you to be happy with your photos, so if there is a perfect picture but one person's eyes are closed, they are more than happy to fix it.

we chose J.R. Owen & Co. For our wedding and it was the best decision. Once meeting them and seeing their personalities and what they have to offer we knew they were the best fit for our wedding. My husband and I were very happy with Jeff and Rachel. Jeff was our photographer and we had videography too. They went above and beyond to capture every moment of our day. He even captured moments we forgot happened. They truly care about what they do and making their clients happy. They did such a great job all night you didn't even notice them being there as they didn't get in anyone's way. They are extremely responsive with any questions you have. Jeff was extremely creative with his pictures. Our family and guests couldn't compliment on what an amazing job they did with capturing such gorgeous pictures and an amazing video. They truly exceeded expectations and would recommend them to any bride.

JR Owens truly are the BEST wedding photographers I have Ever seen.  And I have been in, and attended, many, many weddings. What a great husband and wife duo! They compliment each other so well.  They were so easy to work with. Jeff’s quirky sense of humor, kept everyone laughing. And kept the mood light.
Rachel’s creativity and beautiful eye for lighting and staging was absolutely terrific. We were So Blessed to be able to have both Jeff and Rachel as our photographers. We got a link to our photos, over 900 of them, right after we returned from our honeymoon. We have circulated the link to our guests and Everyone that has viewed them, has complimented our photographers! Our guests also said, how nice both Rachel and Jeff were. I don’t know how we will be able to narrow down our pictures, as each one is so well done! Luckily Rachel is going to help us with that too! JR Owens really went above and beyond for us! They captured the beauty of the day. They captured the emotion of the day. They were not intrusive, and we are so blessed to have such lovely photos that we will cherish for many years to come! I would give them 10 stars!!

J.R. Owen & Co. are absolute ALL STARS! My wife and I spent many months prior to our wedding meeting with photo & video companies. Would highly recommend them! We had Jeff and mike as our photographers and Jim as our videographer. They made the day so much fun and all our brideal party loved their energy.
