Planning and creating special events since 1986. I began my planning and designing career in the New York are and recently moved my business to Austin, TX area and am currently in the process of re-branding. My experience include developing party themes for weddings, bridal showers, engagements, anniversaries, sweet sixteens/quinceaneras, bar/bat mitzvahs and events for many other occasions. My success is based on my floral design and decor training and flair as well as management style. These special talents and the professionalism with which I function allow me to translate your dreams and budget into reality and an event that you, your family and guests will cherish for a lifetime.

An event can be stressful for anyone, whether its a small intimate party or an elaborate affair, I understand your special day is important to you so let me handle the details. Relax, enjoy yourself and your guests. Whatever the occasion, I can make your event a memorable one, for all the right reasons.

Your event is important to me, I will help you select from various venues, connect you with related service professionals, schedule appointments, accompany you and make introductions. I will assist you with developing your concept and theme, making recommendations for your ceremony, rehearsal dinner, as well as outside caterers and hotel accommodations for you and your guests if required.

On the day of your event, I will be available to personally oversee all the service professionals to insure your event is a total success and completely meets your expectations. In addition, if you have selected your service professionals and would need my assistance with supervision with timeline coordinate on the day of your event, I can accommodate you.

My Mission: To provide quality and satisfy the needs of the budget conscious bride. Things don't need to be expensive, why do it yourself when I can do it for you at a reasonable price.

My daughter got married this summer and the wedding was spectacular. It was everything that we had dreamed of. It’s An Event, Francesca was our wedding coordinator. She did a great job fine tuning the details and carrying them out to make sure our job was less stressful. She also was in charge of some of the flower arrangements and made sure that the color scheme matched and blended throughout. The flowers were perfect. She met with us several times during this process and talked over the phone to make sure that all our questions were answered and we stayed on target. Francesca worked with us at the wedding rehearsal and was at the wedding ceremony to make sure that everyone knew what to do. The day of she worked with the owner Pat and her staff to setup and coordinate with all the vendors and made sure that everything was ready when they arrived. The reception area looked great. I cannot express enough what a tremendous access Francesca was in pulling this all together and making this an event to remember.

It's an Event did all of our flowers for our wedding on Oct. 3, 2015.
Francesca did an amazing job on all the bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, reception table centerpieces and other wedding/reception décor.
Francesca was also my wedding coordinator and worked with us from the very beginning of the planning stages, all the way thru the end of the wedding night. We enjoyed working with her and she truly made our special day, Beautiful.

I was recently wed in Austin as part of a destination wedding; my husband and I live in Brooklyn, New York. We were thrilled to find a piece of New York in Austin and working with Francesca on reception dinner and wedding planning was wonderful. Francesca has been in the business for years and knows her stuff--she was personable and friendly yet extremely thoughtful and organized, allowing the reception dinner to go off without a hitch. She was able to ask us questions about things we hadn't even considered before our big day, allowing us to avoid mayhem and stress on our wedding day. Her personality is vibrant and bubbly but when it came time to managing the reception dinner she blended into the background and made it all about us. I was truly impressed. Her professionalism allowed my destination wedding to be so much less stressful than it could have been. I truly enjoyed working with her and whole-heartedly recommend her to others.

We hired Francesca for our day of wedding coordinator. Being that I've never planned a wedding, I didnt know where to start with my own - so thats when Francesca stepped in. From day one all I had to do was tell Francesca what I wanted and or envisioned for my wedding day - she did the rest. The venue also offered a package deal that included It's an Event, Francesca, which I'm glad I took full advantage of. Going that route, Francesca not coordinated my big day, but decorated as well! Shes amazing with all the fine details that others may not even think of! (and yes, you can bring your own touches to add if you wish and or if you go that route.) My husband & I literally just showed up to approx 4-5 meetings throughout the 5 months leading up to our wedding day, supplied a handful of floating candles, and that was it!

Another important detail to add is that my mom was able to enjoy my big day and not be crazy stressed the day of or any day leading up to it. From rehearsal the night before, to the moment we drove away, my mom had no more responsibilities than my dad did! It was so great! She simply just relaxed and took in everything along my side prior to me walking down the isle.

I would strongly suggest that you hire Francesca @ It's an Event to assist in the biggest day of your life! Francesca was always available via phone no matter how many questions I had and no matter what time of day/night it was. She was very very very flexible around my busy 2 job schedule and husband (now) working nights and weekends - she made everything happen and kept everything smooth sailing. Francesca really loves what she does and puts her heart into it, it definitely shows. Thank you again Francesca for helping create the special memories on the most important day of our life! It was simply beautiful!

I already mentioned working with Francesca (owner of "It's an Event!") In my other review for Arbor Pointe Event Centre. She was a true gem, and pleasure to work with for the wedding. I was grateful that she partners with the event venue. It was a lifesaver and blessing to have her planning services and assistance during the actual wedding day! Also for a little extra she did a SUPER job on making/arranging the flowers for my wedding (decor, bridal bouquet, men's boutonnieres, women's corsages, and the two ladies of honor bouquets)! Just a sincerely nice lady to work with throughout the process of the wedding planning.

With the help of Francesca we went from start to finish in 5 weeks and people are still talking about how great it was ~ It really took the stress off me having her there helping me! She helped coordinate as well as do all of our flowers and I was so thankful for all of her help. She has a very caring heart and gets the job done. If there is anything that we needed to have taken care of and someone wasn't doing what we needed done, she we very tactful and effective. Thank you Francesca!!!

I hired Francesca Craparo as "Day of Wedding Coordinator" and I could not say enough wonderful things about Francesca. She helped so MUCH before, during, and after the wedding. What a delightful person and I absolutly loved that she kept the event on task with the vendors, the venue, the itty bitty details, the event ran like a well-oiled machine. I would definitely recommend Francesca to other brides. If you want to unload your wedding planning anxiety and be able to enjoy your wedding day without worry...then you MUST give Francesca a call.

Francesca was the day-of coordinator at my niece's wedding. She successfully directed the rehearsal, ceremony, and reception. She was direct, at point, yet personable. If you are looking for someone to prioritize the bride and groom, Francesca should be your pick. She is efficient and can quickly adapt to any necessary role to make your special day memorable.

Francesca was a wonderful person to work with. I became acquainted with her through our venue. She was our day of coordinator, but her services stretched far beyond that. From our very first meeting, Francesca was very personable and attentive to both my and my mother's needs. Not only did she complete all of the necessary tasks that were required by the venue, she went out of her way to make sure that I had the wedding day of my dreams. We already had a florist, but Francesca created a few simple arrangements, in the style of our main flowers, to help us cut down on the cost of florals. She also offered suggestions and ideas for how to make the reception hall come to life. Even though the venue offered an on-site ceremony location, my fiance and I opted to go with a church venue nearby. Not only did Francesca meet with us at the alternate ceremony location to be sure that this portion of the wedding was just as beautiful as the reception, she coordinated the ceremony rehearsal and wedding ceremony for us. We did have a little trouble with our timeline and several guests mentioned that Francesca and her team were still setting up the church when guests began arriving, everything else went smoothly. Even though we paid Francesca separately for some of the off-site services, including decorating the church and setting-up the alter traditions, her service far exceeded what I could have hoped for. She really helped my husband and I have a beautiful wedding day!

Francesca was VERY willing to work price-wise with me which I will forever be grateful for. I chose to not book her for my wedding coordinator simply because I just didn't get a good vibe and I think because I did not book her for my coordinator I received a bit of odd treatment. I absolutely LOVED my flowers although they seemed a little wilted when they arrived but I'm not one to really let that bother me. When I received a phone call to finalize everything she was very argumentative. I specifically wanted garden roses but where I wanted to place them seemed to be an issue to her. I then discussed the fact that I bought my own flower petals and where I wanted them placed in the venue. She tried to charge me for the placement which is absolutely asinine to me. I said, No problem I will just do it myself. Once she heard my frustration she responded---well just cause I like you I'll do it at no cost but you better go put amazing reviews everywhere you can when we are through---very unprofessional and made me feel awful. When I arrived to the venue to get ready I mentioned as we were walking in that the flower petals were waiting for her in the fridge there at the venue. She completely forgot about the conversation we had about the petals and went in on me again for her having to do it. She argued with me and said that the owner does not allow petals to be placed down the aisle. We found out later that it was a complete lie. My mom got so frustrated and said, " you know what, I WILL JUST DO IT!!!"---I was not stressed ONE BIT about my wedding day until this happened. It all turned out beautiful because my wedding coordinator made it happen. I'm no sure saving the money was worth the hassle.
