The H&L team are such a joy to work with, and we could not have planned our wedding without them! We had no vision for our Alexandria wedding (we just wanted delicious food, great music, and for guests to have a fun time), and Christina (who is AMAZING) guided us every step of the way. Our wedding was truly the best day of our lives, and it went off without a hitch because of H&L. Christina took care of our every question, supported us as we navigated the final weeks leading up to the wedding, and handled the day of with such care, joy, and genuine enthusiasm. From the moment we booked our wedding planning with Honey and Lavendar, we knew we made the right call. Knowledgeable, responsive, orgnaized, warm, and gracious, we cannot reccomend them enough. Christina Sin, in particular, is siply the best of the best. Christina made us feel relaxed througbout the entire process and no decision or question was too big or too small for her to handle. Our wedding was a dream and we sinmply couldn't not have done it without H&L.

Our experience working with the Honey and Lavender Team was a dream. We used their day-of coordination services plan, and it was exactly what we needed. During our initial call with the owner, Maya, she answered all of our questions and recommended which of their packages would work best for our needs. We had already coordinated/reached out to many vendor teams, so we were looking for someone to put it all together toward the end of the planning process and help us coordinate the timeline on the day of. About a month before our wedding, our planner Olivia reached out to us and scheduled a meeting to touch base. We also sent over all of our vendor contacts and contracts. Olivia then reached out to everyone and created a very thorough and detailed timeline for the rehearsal and wedding day. We met with her–virtually and in person– several times over the month to coordinate details, and she frequently sent us action items so that we could ensure every detail was accounted for. During the rehearsal and wedding, Olivia led the charge, organizing and instructing our wedding parties on where to stand and go, communicating with the venue and vendors to ensure everything was running on time, and keeping track of any decorations that needed to be moved throughout the venue. Olivia was flexible with our special requests, such as arranging chairs from the ceremony in a specific setup so that we could play some games during the cocktail hour, and made sure me and my guests felt comfortable, such as making sure the two of us always had a drink in hand and holding on to my mom’s glasses during the ceremony so that she would not lose them. Olivia was quick to fix any problems– the first thing she said to us when we arrived at the venue for the rehearsal was, “the tent is not supposed to be there but I already contacted the company and they are coming to move it over in a few hours!” Olivia was easily reached and quickly responded to any question or request we had. Everything on the wedding day went extremely smoothly, and we were able to relax and enjoy our special day, and we believe that this is hugely due to Olivia’s planning and coordination. Many of our bridal party and family even commented on how helpful and great Olivia was! We highly recommend working with the Honey and Lavender team!

As the host venue at Signal House, we were impressed by Christina’s grace under pressure. With a high-expectation client and several asks beyond venue parameters, she remained solutions-focused, aligned the plan to our policies, and collaborated seamlessly with our staff and vendors. Her professionalism preserved the guest experience and produced a stunning event. She’s an absolute delight to work with and we’d welcome her back anytime.

They were very professional and were willing to work with us every step of the way through our unique family traditions and unorthodox wedding. Maya was a delight to work with.

By far the best decision for our wedding was hiring Honey and Lavender as our full-service planner! Jules Petsche was with us from 9 months out from our wedding - helping us understand the timeline of booking vendors, building a mood board that perfectly encapsulated our vision, coordinating all vendor quotes and communication, and answering all of our questions fully and with such positivity.

The value of a full planner became particularly apparent on our wedding day. Jules had such strong knowledge of our vision, the ceremony and reception venue, and relationships with each of our vendors that had been built over months planning - all of which led to an incredibly smooth day.

The morning of the wedding during the getting ready portion, I felt some nervous anticipation, and Jules was such a calming presence to me. She helped me get a moment to myself amidst the getting ready commotion and it was incredibly helpful. She was incredibly kind and positive to all of our wedding guests and added to the fun joyful energy of the day.

I had a vision for our wedding of a classy but warm and fun garden party - and did Jules and our vendors deliver! One of my favorite moments was walking into our reception, entering the tent and seeing our beautiful floral centerpieces, linens, candles and string lights, and the incredibly happy faces of all of our guests. The biggest thing we heard from our guests was how fun our wedding was - H&L helped us craft an environment that allowed our guests to sit back and let loose.

H&L has so many tools and resources that allow you to structure your planning and was a gigantic help to my husband and me - both of us detail-oriented checklist types. Jules crafted an incredibly thoughtful timeline that allowed for all the important moments I wanted from my wedding day - first looks with dad, brother, bridesmaids, special private vows with my husband at the Bishop Garden, and lots of time to enjoy dancing with my loved ones. Our wedding was truly the best day of my life and I would not change one thing.

Our wedding would absolutely not have been the same event without H&L and Jules. We couldn’t be any happier with how it came together - it was a dream come true and exactly how we visualized. Do yourself a favor and book H&L and Jules!
