I don't even know where to start with this review because there are so many incredible things to say about Honey and Lavender Events and specifically, their founder and CEO Maya!

We hired Maya to be our wedding planner for our September 2026 wedding and there is no one else who could have helped us pull off our big day. Not only was Maya professional, courteous, and open minded, but she was also sharp, thoughtful, hilarious, and knew everything there is to know about the wedding industry (and there is SO much to know). She came with a ton of vendors to choose from, in everything from videography to florals to linens to a live band, and all of them were a hit. We never questioned the quality of the services we were going to get because we knew they came recommended from H&L.

While wedding planning is naturally a stressful time, Maya made us feel calm and at ease. Each call ended with clear directions on what to do next and what timelines to follow, and Maya was always great about answering our questions when we inevitably forgot something. She was fantastic at hearing us out and making adjustments based on our feedback, and never made us feel judged for our questions or things we wanted to do while making sure we stayed in budget. She also made a great therapist when we needed an ear to talk about the trials and tribulations of wedding planning.

Maya is also fantastic at incorporating special touches into the events she plans because she knows that there is no "one size fits all" for weddings. Both my husband and I are Mexican and we mentioned to Maya early on that one of our priorities was incorporating our culture heavily into the wedding day. This included a mariachi procession, a live salsa band, multiple design aspects, and a traditional line dance. Maya handled every suggestion with curiosity and excitement, and our day couldn't have felt more our own. It's been a month, and we are still getting texts from our friends saying how warm, authentic, and "us" the wedding felt, and that is truly due to Maya and her knack for getting it done. She also managed to pull off the ultimate surprise with my parents of having all of our wedding guests serenade us towards the end of the night! She seriously just rocks.

On that note, the day of our wedding was the most perfect day of our lives, and that is fully due to Maya, Joy, Robyn, and Kim. I cannot over emphasize enough how seamless everything was throughout the day, and how incredible H&L worked to make it all happen. Because of the trust we had established with Maya and her team, we went into the day without an ounce of stress regarding logistics and timeline. Everything was perfect and I have told no less than four upcoming brides to hire H&L for their wedding. We loved working with Maya and deeply miss our calls with her.

Maya was the most essential part of planning my wedding. We got along from the first meeting, she had GREAT options for vendors when I wasn't sure where to look first and kept me on track to plan my dream day in just 10 months AND doing it at a private residence (a challenge she was ready to tackle with me)! She also made sure my day of was flawless, the decor was exactly what I'd envisioned and I didn't have to worry about a thing as she and her team, Joy and Olivia, handled every tiny detail. Can not reccommend her and Honey and Lavender enough

My wife and I were engaged for over a year and a half so we we took our time to consider our budget and interview multiple planning companies and planners before fully diving into our planning process. Our venue recommended considering Honey & Lavender and it was obvious once we talked to Maya that H&L was unrivaled in terms of the cost, services, flexibility, and most importantly care. From the jump we felt like we made the right decision and we can confidently say at the back end of a year and a half that we did.

Christina Sin was our dedicated planner and was phenomenal! We felt in control of our wedding planning, informed about every decision, and were given options to select from as well as the ability to push back or change our minds when making all kinds of decisions. Christina was very flexible with scheduling, checked in with us regularly, and made sure we were on track with the planning so that we knew what we needed to do and we knew what she and H&L were taking care of for us. Christina actively managed most of our vendor relationships and always relayed updates, questions, or concerns to us with enough time for my wife and I to sit and think about it together before needing to make a decision. Christina led with empathy and also with reality in a way that we knew she cared about us so that we knew the true costs of our selections whether that would be timing, emotional labor, or dollars spent on a vendor. We were able to trust Christina because she kept it real while also respecting our must-haves, like-to-haves, and absolutely-nots.

Our wedding weekend was also so easy because H&L handled all the vendor coordination, last minute emails, and all the final scheduling to get things into place. Christina helped coordinate our Friday night events which included a tea ceremony, welcome dinner, and welcome drinks across three different locations. And on our wedding day, we felt like we were able to just be present and enjoy our wedding knowing we could trust Christina to handle anything if it came up. The whole weekend went very smoothly and we were thrilled with the outcome!

I cannot recommend Christina and H&L enough!!

I honestly cannot say enough amazing things. She was SO instrumental in our wedding and I truly don’t know what we would have done without her. From the very beginning, she was so incredibly kind, helpful, responsive, and just an absolute pleasure to work with. She has the best disposition and somehow always made everything feel manageable, even when I was definitely stressing 😂.

She went above and beyond for us so many times throughout the planning process, fielded all of our questions (mainly from mom :) ) but she especially saved us with our name cards. We had a situation come up that could have been a disaster, and Christina jumped in and helped us figure everything out. She handled it so calmly and made me feel like everything was going to be okay.

She helped bring everything together in a way that made such a huge difference. My expectations were far exceeded when I saw the room, the candles and the lighted trees that pulled together the intimate setting I had hoped for and we want to thank her for all of her help!!

Working with Honey and Lavender and Christina for our wedding was absolute kismet. We connected with Maya and got assigned Christina for our wedding management package. Christina seamlessly integrated herself into the process and it definitely felt like she has been there all along from the beginning. On the day of the wedding, Christina along with Kim and Rabita were on point and ran behind the scenes making sure that we were not taken away from the moment. We really appreciated that they handled our wedding with love and care and also a "stern" hand that is required for things to happen. We are very grateful and would work with them again. The H&L team are such a joy to work with, and we could not have planned our wedding without them! We had no vision for our Alexandria wedding (we just wanted delicious food, great music, and for guests to have a fun time), and Christina (who is AMAZING) guided us every step of the way.
