We LOVED having our wedding reception at the Voco! Mary was extremely helpful, professional, responsive, personable, timely, and just the all around best person to work with during event planning. The reception space was absolutely beautiful and the staff members were all so kind. The lobby bar is stunning and perfect for photos!

Voco really helped us to have an elegant and unique wedding!
First, the location is absolutely fabulous! You are right on the river, with great views in every direction! Easy access to Union Station, Ogilvie Station, the L and the River North, Fulton Market, and the Loop. This was great for us, as we love downtown Chicago, and we had a lot of out of town guests coming in, and we were able to show off our favorite city in prime weather and location. There is access for you to take pre-wedding photos right on the river at Wolf Point, and it is a really dramatic backdrop!
The Voco facilities are wonderful, everything felt spacious and was well placed to allow for guest movement through the ceremony room, the reception hall, and cocktail atrium.The lights and carpet have a nice modern look, but the best feature is the view from the windows. By day or night, you are going to love what you see!
The food was also amazing! We had to accommodate vegans, gluten free, and keto guests, and the hotel was able to pull it off beautifully. We went with a buffet option, and everyone loved the food. We also had some special requests, instead of a wedding cake we went with brownies and tarts, we had a special gumbo for the soup, and we also did a brunch the next morning. Everything was delicious and perfectly suited to our guests!
Most importantly, the staff at Voco really went above and beyond in every way. Everyone was so helpful and responsive! We had a signature drink that involved caramel vodka, and there was a supply chain issue that prevented Voco from having it in stock in time for the wedding, so Voco made their own caramel vodka for us!
In particular, I have to compliment Andrew. Our wedding was delayed due to the pandemic from the original booking with Holiday Inn for April 2020, through the Voco purchase, to September 2022. He guided us through every step of the transition from Holiday Inn to Voco, and had really on point suggestions for some small additional touches that made for a truly decadent evening.
A few other special touches was the ceremony backdrop, the champaign toast provided for our ceremony, the hotel staff helping to set up our centerpieces and wedding favors- in so many ways they went above and beyond!
We had such a good time, and we were very supported by the Voco staff in every way possible. They made our day stress free and allowed us to really enjoy our wedding!

Blown out of the water by the Holiday Inn Mart Plaza and their staff. Our wedding was absolutely perfect. This location is in a great spot, an impossible to beat location in the heart of the city. It is right along the river walk and we were lucky enough to get a nice day in April to be able to walk along the river for our pictures. The Wolf Point ballroom has incredible floor to ceiling windows that give you a stunning view of the city, as do so many of the guest rooms! Aside from the natural beauty the location provides, the hotel goes above and beyond to create the wedding for you. My invitations came to life in the decor of the room, and they even hung some garden lights to soften the feel of the hotel ballroom and bring the outdoors in. The food was INCREDIBLE. I got so many compliments from guests regarding their food and their overall stay. The hotel was accommodating to guest needs and so responsive to work with. Absolutely amazing!

Liliana and her team were phenomenal! For start to finish and top to bottom, they helped us through every decision and made our wedding day fantastic. We could not be happier with the venue, food, service and hospitality from the planning stages through our wedding day. On our wedding day we had nothing but compliments from our guests. They were able to accommodate any request we had, and we could not have asked for a better team with which to work.

Liliana was super accommodating to all of our requests - especially when we had 6 or so guests that did not RSVP show up! :)

I had my wedding reception here on 5/21/16 at the Wolfpoint Ballroom. I searched numerous places in Chicago for a reception venue, but the choice ended up being easy after going to the Mart Plaza and seeing the gorgeous views. Our wedding weekend was perfect thanks to the venue and Janet. Janet was so responsive to emails, questions, and went above and beyond during our planning to ensure the reception went perfect. I can't thank her enough for all of her help and support over the last 6 months. The entire hotel truly treated everyone so well. The bridal suite had a wonderful view of the river. Janet even arranged me to have an early check in so I could get ready for my rehearsal dinner. The food here is first class as well as the great bar. (The tasting we had in March was fabulous and the food tasted the same on the wedding day!) There is nowhere else in the city I would have rather had my reception at. The day was like a dream for us. Thank you again so much Mart Plaza and Janet for going above and beyond for my family, friends and guests.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about our reception that we held at the Holiday Inn Chicago Mart Plaza, Wolf Point Ballroom, last weekend. The room was absolutely stunning, the food was amazing, and the staff was so accommodating. Janet was fabulous to work with from start to finish.
