Hip Control is a live wedding band based in Brooklyn, New York. A little bit about us: I started this band 6 years ago with a crew of young, professional musicians of the NY scene. We are one of the few fully Bilingual bands in New York and we love playing cross cultural weddings.

The truth is we love playing together and putting on an epic party. We are high energy and dynamic; with a variety of music that goes from Motown, rock, soul, funk, top 40s, 80s & 90s classics to Latin music. We will cater our music to your needs and bring our fresh, powerful sound to the dance floor as well as our smooth, jazzy vibe for dinner and cocktail hour.

We regularly play as a 10-piece band: 3 singers, drums, guitar, bass, keyboard and 3 horns (trumpet, trombone and sax), but we can also shrink to 9, 8 and even 7 musicians according to your needs. We offer each couple 3 special song requests that we’ll learn specially for you, even if they are not part of our regular repertoire. People usually use these requests for their first dance and parent's dance. We also bring our own lights, sound system, engineer and assistant who take care of every detail, from setting up and breaking down to controlling the general sound throughout the night, etc. Plus, we can also help out with emcee duties and anything else you might need.

Apart from the reception, we offer our complimentary Jazz & Bossa Nova Cocktail Hour Trio, meaning it's included in our reception rates; that is drums, sax and piano. Regarding the ceremony, we offer one, two or three live instruments, that can be guitar and/or piano plus one vocalist or horn and also a String Trio. Regarding the music, you can choose up to 4 songs for the Wedding Processional, Entrance and Recessional, whether it's religious music or contemporary ballads. Lastly, we are offering our clients our new complimentary Carnival Party: we'll play a ten-minute medley of everyone's Latin favorites while we go out into the crowd_ the three lead singers and the horn section led by our percussionist_ and set the dance floor on fire.
