A little about the band... HIGH AND MIGHTY BRASS BAND (HMBB)

We're new to the Wedding Wire, but we're NYC's premerie brass band entertaining fans since 2009. We'll travel for weddings and private events anywhere in the world and we've performed in The UK, France, Spain, Mexico, the Netherlands and Canada plus major US festivals Bonnaroo and Gov Ball. We really enjoy providing entertainment for couples and being apart of their most special day.

HMBB has held down a weekly residency every Tuesday at Apotheké (9 Doyers St in Chinatown NYC) since 2014. It's a great opportunity to check out the band and connect before deciding to book us. HMBB has a large pool of talented full time musicians who can offer a wide range of entertainment options for weddings and other special occasions.

From the band's founder, drummer and beand leader:

Hey! My name is Evan Howard and I'm the founder, drummer and band leader for HMBB. I started the group back in 2009 while finishing my masters at Manhattan School of Music. I really love the brass band sound and was no doubt influenced by my years living in New Orleans where I studied from 1998 - 2005 while getting my undergrad degree at University of New Orleans. I had the opportuinty to learn and play with Ellis Marsalis and from so many amazing musicians before I headed to New York.
