We are so thankful to the team at Groovin Gourmets for doing a wonderful job with our wedding catering (and venue setup!). Everyone we spoke to (venues, coordinators, etc.) recommended Groovin, and as soon as we reached out we understood why - from the very beginning they were incredibly responsive, and happy to answer our many (many) questions. Kaylyn made the planning process easy, helping us to develop a staffing plan to help with the set-up of our venue (The Workshop by T&D, which was also great). Groovin staff came the day before to set up ceremony chairs and then immediately after the ceremony efficiently moved all the chairs to the other side of the venue for dinner.

They helped us coordinate rentals with Party Perfect and had all the right answers (and questions) during our on-site venue walkthrough. As for the food itself, everything was delicious! People always tell you that you won’t eat at your own wedding, but the food was so good that we sat and ate our entire plates. Guests raved and two friends told us that they even came up with targeted strategies to chase down their favorite hors d'oeuvre when they came out. We especially recommend the pork belly hors d'oeuvre and the szechuan salmon entree. From start to finish, Groovin’ was efficient and professional, and we would highly recommend them for any event.

Groovin' Gourmets was an absolute slam dunk! They were organized and had a great system in place for weddings of all sizes, while being much more reasonable in cost compared to most competitors. My wedding was halfway across the country and they still made the process easy, even accommodating our difficult schedule to fit us in last minute for a tasting. We had a large number of dietary restrictions, which they handled seamlessly - even with a family style meal service. Everyone raved about the food, which in my experience is not usually the case at weddings :) A few favorites included the shrimp & grits, gouda mashed potatoes, and short rib. Thank you, Michelle, for everything!

GG was the perfect fit for my wedding. The food was phenomenal, the servers were kind and Kaylin was an incredibly patient and helpful liaison to help me organize it every step of the way. If I could go back and do it all over again, I would use their services time and time again!

Groovin made our wedding so special! Starting from the first email, they were an absolute delight to work with, and they made our wedding day so special! Guests raved about the passed apps & plated dinner, and the team who staffed our day - waiters and bartenders - were SO fun and accommodating. We hired Groovin Gourmets to help cater our wedding. I cannot recommend them enough for any couple who is looking for great food, full set up, and full tear down. Everything was so tasty and our guests kept commenting how great everything was! They met with us prior and helped set up a menu that catered to our taste and vision for our wedding. Michelle and her team are outstanding. We enjoyed the process from start to finish. She answered all our questions and accommodated all of our requests to the last minute. The food was perfect. We had the tasting about 6 weeks out. We switched up the menu after the tasting because we wanted to showcase more of the fabulous ingredients they use. We knew that the food was an important aspect of the experience that we wanted to be sure we got right. Groovin' far exceeded our expectations. We chose to include signature drinks-they were a big hit. We also really liked that they offered local VA wine for our guests.

Groovin' Gourmets is the exclusive in-house caterer at our chosen wedding venue at Linden Row Inn in the heart of Downtown Richmond. Michelle, their catering manager, was a breeze to work with throughout the process. She helped guide us through menu choices, service styles, and many different guests needs to help make sure we had options for everyone in attendance even with allergies and sensitivities. On the day of the event, the Groovin' Gourmets team was on top of everything. Their team knocked it out of the park as they handled the set-up, turnover from ceremony to reception and break-down at the end of the night. It honestly felt like we didn't even have to lift a finger and their team was on top of the details before we could even think about it. They really made everything seem so flawless and that is attributed to the awesome planning of the details by Michelle and then the execution of their team. Kudos 100x over to the Groovin' Gourmets team, even if they weren't the exclusive in-house caterer at my venue, I would have chosen them to cater my event because they knew exactly what they were doing and their food was AMAZING (The lobster mac and cheese...just do it!)

Faith did an outstanding job! Groovin Gourmet catered our daughters wedding and it was superb, the staff did an outstanding job and we can’t say enough about the food - Absolutely delicious and displayed beautifully! So many wonderful comments on the food from our guests! Thank you for everything! The event was fabulous!

So incredibly happy with their service. I wouldn't trade this vendor for anyone else in the Richmond area. All the staff were extremely professional, the food was amazing, and everything ran smoothly.

The food was spectacular, and surprisingly the vegetarian option was one of the biggest hits. From start to finish the meal was spectacular. My wife and I ate first to allow us time to take pictures. The salad was already at our seats, the staff worked hard to keep us fed and watered. We had a difficult time making up our minds on which meal to get, so we had them divide up the three meals: filet mignon, roasted branzino, and the acorn squash onto two plates. We knew we weren't the type of people to not eat at our own wedding, so thank you Groovin' Gourmet for making sure we ate.
