Groovin' Gourmets was an absolute slam dunk! They were organized and had a great system in place for weddings of all sizes, while being much more reasonable in cost compared to most competitors. My wedding was halfway across the country and they still made the process easy, even accommodating our difficult schedule to fit us in last minute for a tasting. We had a large number of dietary restrictions, which they handled seamlessly - even with a family style meal service. Everyone raved about the food, which in my experience is not usually the case at weddings :) A few favorites included the shrimp & grits, gouda mashed potatoes, and short rib. Thank you, Michelle, for everything! -

GG was the perfect fit for my wedding. The food was phenomenal, the servers were kind and Kaylin was an incredibly patient and helpful liaison to help me organize it every step of the way. If I could go back and do it all over again, I would use their services time and time again! -

Groovin made our wedding so special! Starting from the first email, they were an absolute delight to work with, and they made our wedding day so special! Guests raved about the passed apps & plated dinner, and the team who staffed our day - waiters and bartenders - were SO fun and accommodating. We're so glad we went with GG and would choose them time and time again! -

Outstanding in everyway!
Michelle and her team are outstanding. We enjoyed the process from start to finish. She answered all our questions and accommodated all of our requests to the last minute. The food was perfect. We had the tasting about 6 weeks out. We switched up the menu after the tasting because we wanted to showcase more of the fabulous ingredients they use. We knew that the food was an important aspect of the experience that we wanted to be sure we got right. Groovin' far exceeded our expectations. We chose to include signature drinks-they were a big hit. We also really liked that they offered local VA wine for our guests. -

The food was spectacular, and surprisingly the vegetarian option was one of the biggest hits. From start to finish the meal was spectacular. My wife and I ate first to allow us time to take pictures. The salad was already at our seats, the staff worked hard to keep us fed and watered. We had a difficult time making up our minds on which meal to get, so we had them divide up the three meals: filet mignon, roasted branzino, and the acorn squash onto two plates. We knew we weren't the type of people to not eat at our own wedding, so thank you Groovin' Gourmet for making sure we ate.

We left our initial meeting with Alaina feeling like we won the jackpot - booking someone with so much experience, knowledge and professionalism. Enough can't be said about how easy to work with, honest, and helpful she was throughout the whole process. Also, being in touch was effortless and making payments was simple.
On top of having a great point of contact for all things food, linens, set-up, tear down, and staff- the food was AMAZING. For days after the wedding we had people texting us that it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding. Everyone felt very well taken care of and we couldn't have been happier with how delicious everything was. -

Katina Sent on 07/02/2012Groovin’ Gourmets is wonderful! I had to plan my wedding from another state so I pretty much had to rely on email to communicate with all of my vendors. Perkins was always accessible and very responsive. She was able to plan my dream menu from just reading my descriptions in emails! I think I asked her to re-write the proposal about 10 times and she was so patient with me and all of the changes I asked her to make. She remembered every single little detail I asked her to carry out on the day off. I also have received so many comments on how delicious the food was. I believe Groovin’ Gourmets gives you the best food, service, and quality at such an incredible price compared to other caterers. Perkins is a true professional and I highly recommend contacting her for your catering needs! -

Jessica Sent on 12/30/2016I really enjoyed working with Groovin Gourmets for our wedding reception. My husband and I love food, and we wanted a more "personalized" menu than just standard wedding fare, so we tested out catering companies by asking if they could make some of our favorite foods. Groovin did a fantastic job - they prepared our dishes for the tasting, and the chef Tim came out during the tasting to talk with us about what we liked and disliked, and made changes accordingly. Amanda never had a problem making changes to our menu and recommending amounts of food based on our changing guest count. Groovin also did our rentals and did a good job. Alaina gave us great advice at our venue walk-through and helped us finalize everything we needed. Initially, it was hard making an exact apples-to-apples comparison between the different catering companies our venue works with (it seems like they each included different sets of things in their initial quotes), but I did some fairly extensive research - Groovin was the best value and gave us great service. Our guests all raved about the food - even the picky ones! I would definitely recommend them! -
