My fiancé and I did an engagement session with Simon and the entire process far exceeded expectations. He was extremely accommodating with dates and sent a list of possible locations along with links to albums he’s shot at those locations. We did a sunrise session and he hiked up the mountain with us in the dark in 40 deg weather carrying equipment. Simon made us both at ease, giving some suggestions for photos and guiding us with the little details while also allowing for spontaneity and authenticity. He is easy and fun to be around. There were 20 people at mountain top and on the trails for during the shoot but you’d think from the photos that we were the one ones there, and he never had to ask anyone to move.

Simon allowed for time before and after the shoot to ensure we got the time in the contract (and then some) and provided full-res files as well as a gorgeously curated online album.

Our album is breathtaking, everyone who has seen it has asked for Simon’s contact for their future needs, and even brainstorming photo shoots to do in order to work with him. His use of perspective, light, shadows, composition, and capturing of emotion display such talent and art that is unique and deep. I am so excited and honored to be able to work with him for my upcoming wedding, I would choose him over and over again! The only thing I don’t like is trying to choose photos to frame because they are all so stunning.

Working with Simon was one of the best decisions we made when wedding planning. He spends the time to get to know your priorities and desires for your photography on a Zoom meeting when you book. He also checks in as the date nears to make sure he has all the needed details to provide the best service making the day-of stress free in regards to where he should be at what times and what moments/events mean the most for you to have photographed and how. We had 2 locations the day of and the whole thing was seamless. Simon arrives early to scope scenes and lighting to make each stage of the day efficient keeping you on your timeline (seems obsessive but trust me its very important). As far as the artistry and talent just look at his galleries and it speaks for itself. We were even more stunned by our wedding album than our engagement album which he also did for us (I do recommend getting his package deal!). The photos he created for us will be treasured by us and our families for our whole lives. So much is captured in Simon’s work of the people and many relationships in the photos and in the spaces between those “big” moments. He’s got the intuition of what to capture and how. Get on Simon’s calendar ASAP!

It was an absolute pleasure working with Simon, and the photos my husband and I received from our wedding day well exceeded our expectations. We had originally planned to have our wedding ceremony near Boone, NC, but due to Hurricane Helene devastation, we had to change our plans and move our festivities to our hometown in KY. Simon was flexible with our changes and was able to fly out to document our day, and the entire experience was perfect. We can't thank him enough for his work, and we would highly recommend him to anyone considering his services.
