The two quickly bonded over their shared love of music and began performing together, often showcasing new material in Central Park where they performed regularly. Their music draws inspiration from and pays homage to timeless artists such as: Etta James, Marvin Gaye, João Gilberto and Nat King Cole, as well as contemporaries like: Leon Bridges, Norah Jones, Chris Stapleton, and Kacey Musgraves. Since meeting, Garrett & Tamara have performed across the country at some of the most iconic and prestigious venues including: Lincoln Center, The Perelman Performing Arts Center, The New York Botanical Garden, Cipriani, Mohonk Mountain House, The Parrish Art Museum, Winterthur, and Blue Hill at Stone Barns.
