Uniquely romantic and charming, Garden Valley Ranch cultivates roses for sale to the floral trade and rose enthusiasts. Our outdoor wedding and event site is set among fields of roses that bloom May through October. A brick dance floor set into a lawn fans out from the Victorian belvedere adjacent to a secret garden (great for cocktail hour). Landscaped plantings feature roses on pergolas, columns, arches and perennials, annuals and bulbs. Our two-story indoor space, the Carriage House, has a wraparound deck and adjacent courtyard.
Garden Valley Ranch is located in Petaluma, known for its historic homes and buildings. We are close to many of California's best attractions: Sonoma/Napa wine country, Tomales and Bodega Bays. Petaluma is served by 3 airports: SFO, STS and OAK.
We would love to show you around the ranch! Please contact us to arrange a tour. Events@gardenvalley.com

My husband and I decided we wanted to find a venue on our own-an incredibly hard job if you ask us! We really wanted to find a venue that wasn't too expensive, but also were able to bring in our own catering. Initially we wanted an outdoor ceremony and an indoor reception but after seeing beautiful pictures of these rose gardens we decided to go all outdoors and it was the best decision! We did visit the gardens in January where the weather didn't do the gardens justice, but we trusted mother nature and of course the good word of Jessica and we took a leap of faith. Just look at the photos below and we can let it speak for itself. Jessica is so responsive and it was an easy process! There are multiple locations that you can have your ceremony/reception. There is also a barn and maybe 2-3 other areas we did not use that day. So much space and it's all yours! We used buses to transport our guests and there is a separate parking lot for the buses to come and for your guests to park. I wish I could upload more but I've already met capacity :)Sent on 10/07/2018

Jessica and her Garden Valley Ranch saved our wedding. Two days before, we lost our rehearsal and reception venue due to the NoCal Fires. We had 200 guests flying from around the world. When we discovered Jessica’s Garden Valley Ranch, we both started crying. It was fate - the venue had a last minute cancellation that made it available for both our Rehearsal and Reception. Not only did Jessica save our wedding, she also fed us, offered her cottage to our family, AND made arrangements for our rehearsal dinner. Jessica is one of the most amazing, generous women that we have ever met and because of her we were able to have the best day of our life. She is exactly the type of vendor you want to work with when it comes to celebrating love. She is easy to reach, flexible, and one of the friendliest vendors we have ever worked with (I don’t think she stopped smiling for a second).Sent on 12/25/2017
The venue has recently changed ownership which is why it did not come up on our wedding venue searches. If it had, I am sure we would have considered it originally! Garden Valley Ranch is STUNNING. The property was entirely renovated - It is 5 acres with different options for events: there is a secret garden out of a story book, a Gazebo area with a brick dance floor, a two story barn, and a beautiful enclave with string lights surrounded by flowers and trees. All of the Ranch is connected by rows and rows of beautiful roses of every color imaginable. Our guests felt like they were at a botanical garden right out of a movie. We had two different events at the Ranch, but our guests felt like they were in two separate venues. They walked through roses to get to the secret garden for cocktail hour. We had dinner in front of the barn surrounded by string lights and the peaceful sounds of the fountain. We used the bottom story of the barn for dancing. We decorated the barn with string lights which set a magical mood.
Our wedding went perfectly. Thank you Jessica and Garden Valley Ranch!
Garden Valley Ranch's reply:Thank you for the wonderful review, Lea and Eric! Happy Holidays! Cheers to your newlywed Christmas and New Year!

Picturesque venue in Petaluma
Garden Valley Ranch was a beautiful venue for our wedding day. We felt so welcomed when we first visited the grounds and met Betty, who greeted us with bouquets of roses and a hand written card. As she showed us around the grounds, we knew that this was the right venue for our wedding. The venue has beautiful beds of roses, Victoria-era buildings, and a hedge-lined secret garden. We hosted the ceremony outdoors in front of the belvedere, and hosted the reception in the beautiful 2-story carriage house.Sent on 11/11/2018
The venue was also super flexible, and allowed us to choose our own caterer and bring our own alcohol, which is something we were looking for in our venue. They also allowed us to drop things off a day early during the rehearsal and store them at the venue overnight, so we didn't have to worry about loading everything in the day of the wedding (unlike a lot of other venues, which require you to load everything in and out within a 6 hour timeframe).
The only thing I would say is that if you're looking for a full service venue, then this isn't the place the for you. They were very hands off during the wedding day, which was nice in a way because our vendors could show up as early as they wanted to start setting up, but I don't think we could have pulled everything off if we didn't two wedding planners there to coordinate everything on the day of the wedding.
