As a native of Florida I knew I wanted my wedding in a cooler weather and more nature-filled location. The mountains of North Carolina have always been a special place for me, and when I decided our wedding would be there I was a bit overwhelmed finding an out-of-town photographer. I scoured the internet, interviewed 3 sources. Michael Freas was the most highly rated, a very detailed website showing his talents, and after having a phone interview with him my now husband and I knew he was the guy for the job!

Michael is knowledgeable of the North Carolina area, of course photography and overall a great guy to interact with. I believe we had 3-4 phone call sessions, 1 meeting in person to look at wedding ceremony and reception locations and then the actual day of the wedding. Our wedding day was perfect due in part to Michael's creative vision for photos all while giving us the space to interact with our guests, and dance the night away together as husband and wife. I would highly recommend Michael as your wedding photographer!

Seeing Michael's work is impressive, but experiencing it is truly special. His creative vision is a genuine gift, as he has a unique perspective on the world around him. During our sessions, he would occasionally share previews of what he was capturing, and I was consistently amazed by his ability to first conceptualize his vision and then execute it. Additionally, as someone who personally dislikes being photographed, Michael made the sessions feel natural, creating a comfortable and casual atmosphere. I believe this played a significant role in capturing the genuine emotions of our wedding day, which are beautifully showcased in the final product.
