Oh my gosh, what to even write. Working with Davida was an absolute dream and I legitimately miss the process! When you work with her you know that you're working with a floral designer, not just a florist. We worked with Davida on our wedding florals for a year and a half and it was an absolutely flawless experience. From the first call, I knew that she was the vendor for us.

Davida sent us a detailed floral proposal after our call which outlined the vision we were going for. She welcomed our creativity, was always kind, professional, and timely with communication, and was just an all-around dream to work with. We had a mock-up a few months before our wedding which was helpful in figuring out what things would look like on the day of, and when I emailed a month and a half out from the wedding asking to change the color scheme of our reception (we had two different color palettes for ceremony and reception), she was game and didn't make me feel like a burden for this change. We also had her make a floral lapel for our flower man and it turned out so gorgeous!

The result of working with her was absolutely STUNNING florals! Our guests have been gushing about them and have stated that our florals live "rent free" in their minds and that the florals were "heaven." I shared our photos with one of my professors who plans luxury events in NYC and she said our floral designer was "outstanding." All of these compliments and sentiments are compeltely true. We had the floral decor of our absolute dreams and I cannot stop looking at pictures.

We absolutely loved working with Davida at Flowers by Lady Buggs for our wedding! As a same-sex couple, it was important to us that our vendors were queer-affirming. It’s also important to us to spend our money with small businesses, and the fact that Flowers by Lady Buggs is a small, POC- and woman-owned business meant we were aligning our spending with our values.

Because we didn’t know exactly what we wanted when it came to florals, it worked out nicely that she collaborated with our planner so well. You always want to hire a vendor that other vendors want to work with, and Davida wasn’t only good at helping us craft a vision, but also at creatively adjusting to complement the vision of our planner/designer.

She kindly worked with us on budget and created floral designs that were absolutely beautiful for our wedding. One memorable moment was initially seeing the beautiful arrangements around the ceremony area, and then after the ceremony when we were taking a minute for ourselves to change shoes at our sweetheart table, Davida and her team brought some of those arrangements in from the ceremony and repurposed them to dress up the area around our sweetheart table. She live-cut some of the flowers as we were sitting there to make them look perfect for the space. Repurposing arrangements between the ceremony and reception is not always possible depending on your venue and needs, but she was able to make it work for us and it looked amazing.

Our bouquets were both beautiful, different, and each very “us.” We hadn’t seen what our bouquets would look like before getting them on the day, and when we first saw them, I was immediately drawn to one hoping it was mine… and it was! It was the same for my wife. Reading our preferences for that was something that Davida could tell after having spoken with us a few times and from close coordination with our planner, which we found impressive. And speaking of personal flowers, my mom was in love with her corsage and couldn’t stop admiring it throughout the afternoon and night!

Davida’s whole staff was around during pictures and the ceremony, because they were all moving things between the ceremony and reception space due to our requests and budget constraints. They were SUCH a great energy to have around, and not distracting at all – purely uplifting, fun, and encouraging. Of course you want your vendors to be great at their jobs, but you’re spending so much time with them day-of, you also want them to be great people to be around! Davida and her team are perfect examples of that. We are so happy to have worked with her for our wedding!

Davida is a floral genius. From the moment we saw her portfolio we knew she was the right florist for our wedding. She has an amazing ability to make every bouquet feel natural, colorful, balanced, and unique. What really drew us to her was her intricate and tasteful use of bright colors. Davida (and her team) built so many beautiful floral moments in our wedding: Chuppah decorations, banister bouquets, corsages, boutonnieres, centerpieces, aisle bouquets, flower girl crowns, and much much more. Each part of our florals was beautiful and she was able to fill the space perfectly.

Working with Davida was such a joy. She is incredibly collaborative and helped us figure out what flowers would best fit our needs. Even when we suggested flowers that weren’t in season, Davida was always ready to suggest alternatives so our flowers would be fresh, bright, and exactly what we wanted. While planning, we gave Davida our ideas, showed her some inspirations, and let her work her magic. It was truly amazing to see the final results. She brought so much color, brightness, and joy to every inch of our wedding.
