Owned and operated by Tracy Labastida, Field to Table gets its name from Tracy's life journey from a farmer turned chef. Though the company was started in August of 2013, our roots are deep in both agriculture as well as the kitchen. Our close ties with local farmers are vital to sourcing the fresh produce that we are so fortunate to have access to on the Central Coast.
Tracy started working in produce fields in the Santa Ynez Valley at a young age, and later his interests shifted from growing the produce, to cooking it. It's been his vision ever since to create a company that sources local ingredients to craft amazing, mouth watering menus and that provides excellent service on the days that matter most to people. These events range from intimate dinners, to weddings, to winery events and non-profit events.
Field to Table has grown to be a true labor of love; a true reflection of Tracy's vision. Our crew is more like family, and our family loves being there to bring our clients' families together. We take pride in offering full service catering throughout the planning process and all the way through the day of the event. Because everyone's vision and palate are truly unique, our menus are customized for every client. From in home and venue tastings, walk-throughs, décor set up, and the smallest of details, Field to Table Catering & Events will be your concierge, directing you from beginning to end, from planning to clean-up.

Amazing food! Over the top!
Field to Table was amazing to work with. Their food was BEYOND FANTASTIC at our wedding, all of our guests were commenting on how delicious and fresh the food was. Multiple people said it was some of the best food they've had at a wedding. The whole team was amazing to work with and so very accommodating with our requests. Hands down, the best wedding dining you will ever experience!
If dining is a priority on your wedding day, Field to Table is truly bar none. From the customized menu that included my groom and I's favorite ingredients, to the responsiveness in coordination, to the impeccable service on the day of our wedding, everything was just perfect. Chef Tracy, Alex, Sierra, Jill... we cannot say enough about their hard work and professionalism. The chefs and service team are top notch, and the quality of the ingredients and presentation are beautiful.
We served tray passed appetizers for cocktail hour, a multi-course family style meal for dinner and plated dessert. Salads were crisp, roasted veggies piping hot, the lobster buttery, pork chops perfectly grilled, and even the condiments (whipped thyme butter for bread, and citrus whipped cream for strawberry shortcake) were perfection. Our guests kept saying "this is the best wedding food we have ever had!" We couldn't agree more - every bite was delicious (and yes, they made sure we got to taste everything!). I've worked in catering for over 10 years and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Field to Table to any couple looking for a memorable, detailed, and personalized dining experience for their big day.Sent on 09/12/2019

Still dreaming of our wedding meal
The food was one of our most important considerations for our wedding and that is why we picked Field to Table for our caterer and could not have been more impressed and grateful for food they provided. Alex and Tracy worked with us to create the most personalized menu and dinner service that we could have asked for. One of the most special things about Field to Table is this personalization – they don’t provide a list of X hors d'oeuvres selections or Y main courses, instead they asked us for what would be our ideal foods, cuisines, and restaurants, and developed a customized menu off of that. The whole planning process was more like a conversation of what our perfect wedding meal would be and they executed. No detail was spared from our pre-wedding tasting, to the presentation of each course, to the service during the day of. We are still dreaming of the stuffed dates and the ahi tostadas and the wine grilled lamb chops. Further, we continue to get comments from our guests about how the food was the best wedding meal they had and that the service was so professional.
