When I was first looking for a wedding planner I was just thinking I would need one for the Day and not the month of. But when I met Karen she convinced me otherwise and I am so glad. Even though I hired Karen many months out from my wedding she constantly checked in with me to see how planning was going and to make sure I was on track or needed any help. When it came to the month of Karen was amazing dealing with vendors and helping me where ever she could. For the day of my wedding Karen created this beautiful color coded itinerary that made my OCD brain sing!! She sent it to all of the bridal party and parents and they all loved it! They all knew where to go and when! Karen and Bev were amazing with set up and clean up. I could not have asked for a better pair to help me on my wedding day

Karen coordinated our wedding beautifully! Although we got the month-of package, she would periodically check in with me during the year before the wedding. I asked her a bunch of questions all the time and she answered everything quickly and without making me feel annoying! She let us borrow her chargers for our reception, as well as some other decorations which was amazing! She took care of everything on the day-of and made sure I wasn't stressing. She even steamed all of the bridesmaid dresses! 10/10 would recommend.

Karen and her assistant, Beverly, were amazing assets to have on our team for our wedding day. We used Karen for month-of planning and felt that it was exactly what we needed. She helped us create a very detailed timeline for the day-of, and was very reachable for any questions we had. She also adapted with ease to my many changes in the timeline. On our wedding day, she ensured that everything ran smoothly and on time, even with some delays from hair/makeup and rain that caused us to execute our rain plan at the last moment. Everything was beautiful and I didn't have to worry on my wedding day that anything wasn't going as planned. In addition, my strapless gown was slightly big, and Beverly was prepared with needle and thread (as well as super glue!) to sew me into my dress and ensure I could dance all night!

From when I first met Karen, I knew she would be the attentive, caring, professional, lovely and amazing planner she ended up being. She’s incredibly easy to work with and truly knows how to plan and execute the wedding of your dreams. I’m an extremely picky person and often do not trust suggestions or recommendations from others so I was a little hesitant about working with a planner in general. But Karen took the time to get to know me, my husband, and what we wanted and matched us with the right vendors and items for our wedding. Working with her was truly the highlight of my planning experience to the point where I didn’t want the date to come!
Our planning experience had a lot of drama at a certain point and Karen was so masterful at handling it. We had multiple serious issues with our venue—often they would tell us one thing and then completely undermine it—not only did Karen handle them professionally she stood up for us and made sure we didn’t have to deal with the drama at all. When I say she handled it, Karen really went to bat for us. She had a meeting with the venue’s owner where she went toe to toe advocating for us assertively and compassionately while remaining completely professional. Also, before you assume, we had picked the venue before hiring Karen. I know that if we had waited, she would have helped us find a truly kind and beautiful venue.
So many other things went haywire, I couldn’t recount them all in this review, but I can tell you that consistently and without fail, Karen capably took care of each one. And that’s coming from someone who has difficulty with letting go and allowing others to take control. Never at one point was I concerned or worried for how the wedding day would turn out. I knew Karen and Fab Affairs would handle everything better than I could have dreamed and it was that and so much more.
To be honest, there are so many wonderful things I could put in this review about Karen and Fab Affairs, I just simply don’t have the time to detail each one.

TL;DR: Karen/Fab Affairs will not disappoint you. She’s everything you’d want in a planner and more!!

Karen is the ABSOLUTE BEST day of coordinator anyone could ever hope to work with. She is kind, efficient, and funny. I used her month of services and when she took over the weight of our wedding was immediately lifted off of my shoulders. I trusted her to make tough decisions for me the day of. She is spectacular.

We hired Karen and Fab Affairs as our day/month of coordinator for our wedding at Snowshoe, WV. She came highly recommended to us by the staff at Soaring Eagle Lodge. She was fantastic! She did a great job keeping in touch with us even before her services officially started. She is very thorough and did a wonderful job coordinating with all of our vendors, creating a detailed schedule for the weekend, and tying all of the loose ends together to make the perfect wedding! I so appreciated her and Beverly and all of the hard work they did in making our day wonderful and stress free. They handled every curve ball thrown their way and were incredibly professional throughout the entire weekend. We didn’t have to worry about a single thing on our wedding day because of them and were able to simply enjoy the day. I was so thankful they were there! Highly recommend hiring them!

We originally contacted Karen to recommend a venue in the area and to help with some overall guidance. She found us the perfect venue - one we never would have been able to use without her - and from then on we were hooked! She was always available - by email, phone, and in person, and has the answer to every question, plus a trunk full of wedding supplies she can pull out for you at a moments notice. I never had to worry with Karen on board - she took care of everything and we could not be happier with how the wedding turned out. We will miss seeing her! I highly recommend her services to anyone, from a consulting call to full day of service.

We engaged Karen for the "day of" package for a 200 person wedding, and she was available to us by email any time during our planning period. And we were in touch with her throughout our year-long planning period. From our first meeting with her, we were totally comfortable with her. She became like a member of our family! She connected us with other vendors, she came up with suggestions when we had ideas. Her attention to detail is incomparable; nothing was left to chance. She was easy to work with, and displayed confidence and energy in performing all her tasks. She took care of everything the day before and day of so that we could enjoy this wonderful occasion!! We could not have done it without her! We would definitely recommend Karen to anyone planning a big event.

Karen and her Fab Affairs team really made our wedding day go as smooth as can be. For the day of services that we paid for, she was always available to answer questions in the months leading up to the event and then the month of our event she took over all our vendor contacts for us and got them organized. Her attention to detail with the timeline is second to none. She knows what she is doing and is able to call on her years of experience in making sure everything is covered. My daughter was married in a remote location in West Virginia. Karen was very helpful in recommending vendors and was worth the expense of hiring her. I would very highly recommend Karen as a wedding planner. Her services made my daughter's wedding perfect and allowed me to actually enjoy the day and not worry over any details. She and her assistant handled the schedule of events, example, cutting the cake, bouquet toss, etc. and it was followed to the minute. Thank you Karen for making the day so special.
