From our first consultation, Emily was detail-oriented, intuitive, organized, and very warm. She was genuinely interested in getting to know our values and personalities to help us plan our wedding. Emily went out of her way to meet with both sets of our parents months before the wedding and to visit our venues with them. We were all very impressed! She was consistently responsive over email and phone and VERY helpful, offering some key suggestions that made a huge difference in the flow of the day. She was very professional and on top of her role as a liaison with our other vendors. On the wedding day, she set everyone at ease - from family to guests. Emily is solution-oriented and very positive, and she is also honest if she thinks something won't work based on her extensive experience. Her "wedding bible" document was absolutely essential to helping us feel organized and prepared. On the day of our wedding, we were all able to relax and enjoy the flow of events, because the timeline was so tightly planned, largely thanks to Emily! Emily Lester is nothing short of amazing. She is so kind, warm and communicative, always available to answer a question or give an opinion or offer a piece of advice. She is utterly meticulous, thinking through every detail of the wedding day (like making sure there were canapes waiting for us when we went upstairs to sign our wedding license after the ceremony) while at the same time understanding what is most important to the couple and never losing sight of their values and desires for this important day (like making sure that my late mother-in-law's handmade quilt was incorporated into our chuppah). No detail or aspect of the wedding day escapes Emily's notice. I had first met Emily when she was helping my older brother with his wedding and when it came time to plan my own, I did not consider any other options when thinking about a wedding planner. Emily is the perfect combination of efficient and effusive, always happy to chat via email or phone, excited to learn about the special details you have in mind, and committed to ensuring that everything runs smoothly in the months, days and hours before you walk down the aisle. Emily was great about checking in on us and our plans leading up to the wedding and always came equipped with a list of questions and thoughts about our plans and very clearly puts a lot of thought and care into her client's weddings. Every challenge we can to her with - from our concerns about grandmothers moving around the the venue to coordinating how members of our wedding party would be able to sit with their spouses during the ceremony - she handled with apparent ease. The day of the wedding, I was able to relax and enjoy myself utterly knowing that Emily had everything well in hand. She is a master at what she does, and I cannot sing her praises enough.

We said “I Do” with Emily! She was a bride and groom’s dream on our wedding day at the Bronx Zoo. Her knowledge of the venue and relations with the staff made for a seamless timeline. One of her many unspoken skills are her decorating abilities. Emily brought to life our vision of bud vase centerpieces and candle decor around the reception hall while being resourceful and repurposing our decor throughout the night. Her empathy, genuineness and professionalism is what let us know she was the one, but it was even more so her energy day of that made for an stress-free day!

Emily was a star from the first time we reached out for a wedding planner in NYC. Based in England we knew we wanted to be married in NY but did not have a clue where to start! We Zoomed and emailed and although we had never met we trusted our gut feelings and these proved 100% right - Emily was brilliant with advice and professionalism. She met us on the first morning to escort us to City Hall to arrange the licence and then almost acted as a tour guide - above and beyond. Everything ran perfectly and for the ceremony in the Ladies Pavillion in Central Park and we cannot praise her enough. If you are considering a wedding planner, speak with Emily. My fiancé (now husband!) and I had done a bulk of the wedding planning ourselves, but with a month to go, quickly ran into all the last minute logistical hurdles and questions. We were very stressed. We found Emily on Wedding Wire, and were saved. In our first encounter, I could tell that she had it, and I could trust her to take us all the rest of the way. Since we had done a good deal of planning ourselves, I appreciated that Emily offered an "a la carte" aspect to her services and pricing. She was quick to understand our needs, and offer her experience and presence to make a plan to make the day happen. I cannot tell you what a difference it made to feel all that tension and thinking "how are we ever going to do this, or do that?" and then have a conversation with Emily and for both my husband and I to say, "Ok I feel 1000% better now." So calming; she was on it. In addition to all the coordinating with our vendors and decorating the venue, Emily, of course, helped as a day of coordinator. She worked so so well with our vendors...and with our families! She was always punctual and reliably communicative and responsive. Honestly, I wished we hired her sooner. Highly recommend.

Emily was a GOD SEND to us! She made our day so special and seamless. She went above and beyond in every way so we were able to actually enjoy our day. She knew and understood our vision and made it happen! She's super flexible and amazing to work with, she even drove our car back to the hotel!! Emily was truly a pleasure to work with. My wife and I both had full time jobs and were doing long distance, so wedding planning was particularly stressful. However, Emily made sure everything went smoothly. She was very experienced with the whole process and helped keep us on track to make sure we had everything in order before wedding day.
