The absolute best part of our wedding! Derek and his team did a phenomenal job! We went to 10+ weddings in the last year, and out wedding by far had the most people on the dance floor and for the longest and that is thanks to Derek and The DRB! If you are remotely thinking about booking them, just do it!!! It will be the best decision you make! My husband and I did not worry about a single announcement all night, Derek handled getting people from where they needed to be, speeches, prayers, dances, etc. Most importantly, they made sure the dance floor was FULL all night long! Absolutely would recommend to anyone and everyone (and we have!!!)

We had the financial opportunity to go with a band and we searched around to find a band that would work well with us. We stumbled upon the Social Bandits who are a part of E3 Detroit and we knew from their music list that they would match our vibe. We were able to schedule a meeting with E3 first then the Social Bandits where we were able to go over the music list with them.

Working with them was very very easy and natural. They took into account all of the songs we wanted and inquired about a do-not-play list. The meeting with them did not feel rushed in any way and they made a point to be professional and prompt. We had a follow-up meeting closer to the wedding to work out any last minute details.

On the day of the wedding, they played for the ceremony for walking down and back up the aisle, for the cocktail hour, and after the dinner (first dances, and the rest of the evening). They had our first dance songs down pat - which is good because we had a whole dance routine set up. For the Father-Daughter dance, they were able to make some small requested changes to the song that my wife wanted.

Overall, they were absolutely amazing and have such an incredible range in musical ability. There wasn’t a single song that we asked for that they told us they couldn’t do. A live band beats a DJ every time.

Due to our venue and the average age of our guests, we didn’t have a ton of dancers, but that was not on the band at all. They rocked out until the very last moment and for all the die-hards they had us moving and grooving.

Notably, they ignored requests from the -- by this time very drunk -- extended family which we appreciated. Some of those requests were songs we had on the do-not-play list. They took their cues from us (the Bride and Groom) on any requests, though ultimately they had a compelling flow and a great energy - even at the times when no one was on the dance floor.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone who needs a band for any reason.

The Dan Raftney Band (E3) were absolutely amazing! From contacting them to book them in the beginning to conversations back and fourth they were always timely and professional. They MC'd our reception and kept the dance floor rocking all night. Everyone at my wedding was raving about them! Highly recommend!

I've been lucky to know Derek for a few years now and every event I have been at with him performing is always a night I've remembered. Hiring E3Detroit was simply the easiest task I had for my wedding. Derek is more than just your DJ, he's your party starter!
The dance floor was never empty and I had no worries whatsoever. My guests are still reaching out about how great our DJ was and they couldn't believe that so many people stayed until the very end.

Derek has an amazing positive energy, his energy was felt by all. My husband is a lover of music, so he was in charge of finding the band. Of course the band had a play list...so did my husband. Derek listened and was very responsive to our wishes. He had great ideas for the evening but wasn't rigid with how things should play out. The dance floor was filled the entire night, even at midnight. I highly recommend the E3 Detroit band!

Everyone keeps telling us how AWESOME the band was and I am so happy we chose First Call to run our wedding! From the Skype consultation with Erin, to their quick response with emails, we had an awesome client experience. Not to mention how great it was to have an MC all night. I loved how Erin made the effort to learn name pronunciations - things like that are what separate you from other vendors. First Call was a spectacular decision and my husband and I could not be happier with our selection. The songs that were played kept everyone on the dance floor and they handled our crazy energetic crowd perfectly! I will continue to recommend them to all of my friends in the Toledo area and elsewhere because I think everyone deserves to have the same experience we did.

When I heard the Dan Rafferty Band at a cousin's wedding, I knew I couldn't have anyone else at mine. Two years later, they truly made my reception. We loved them so much that we planned our wedding date based on when they were available! :) They had everyone on the dance floor. They're professional, interactive and so very talented! I couldn't imagine my wedding without them. I'm so thankful for the wonderful memories they helped to create.
