Troy was absolutely amazing. He was transparent with pricing and is honestly worth every penny. The DJ really sets the vibe for your event and he had our dance floor full at cocktail hour!! He made the whole process super easy, no need for long playlists etc, which really was super helpful to us. Everyone could not stop talking about how great he was!! We loved DJ Troy!! We decided to work with DJ Troy because we wanted someone who could really read the room and thoughtfully DJ the reception, rather than simply play through a setlist. Since many of our guests weren’t familiar with a traditional wedding reception or dance party, this was especially important to us.
He did an amazing job—the dance floor was packed the entire time, with guests of all ages and from all different backgrounds having a great time. Many guests were sad about having to wrap up the party. He was also incredibly flexible with last-minute changes and song requests, which we really appreciated.

The entire process with DJ Troy leading up to the wedding was so thorough and thoughtful. We had a great intro call, followed by an hour-long planning session closer to the wedding where we went through our timeline, music tastes, genres we loved and didn’t love, and all the little details that helped him understand exactly what we were looking for. He even gave us great input on our final layout and helped us think through where to place the dance floor at Lanikuhonua to keep the party feeling connected. It truly felt like a collaboration working with him!

And on the wedding day, he absolutely delivered. He kept the energy going all day and even had people dancing during cocktail hour! He MC’d the event flawlessly, and the DJ set was exactly the vibe we wanted. The vibe was fun, energetic, and never cheesy or overly “wedding-y.”

What really stood out was how much he thought of the little things. He brought a lapel mic system so we didn’t have to hold a microphone during the ceremony, which was such a small detail but made a huge difference. From the ceremony to cocktail hour to the reception, everything felt seamless.

We could tell during our first meeting, he’s not your traditional DJ, and after our first interview we knew he was going to the be the perfect guy for the job. We booked him a year out, so he really takes time to get to know you as a couple and plans precisely on how to perform on your special day. He knows exactly how to set the mood, get the crowd energized, and end the night on the perfect note. We love going to out to bars, clubs, concerts, and festivals; and our wedding very much felt like an amazing show. Everyone singing during dinner will forever be one of our favorite moments on our special day. Definitely worth the price. Very professional and extremely talented.

I had never seen a wedding where the dance floor was popping all night long and clearly neither had my guests. He has an art for feeling out the vibes of the crowd and plays banger after banger.
