Facilities and Capacity
At King Kamehameha Kona Beach Resort, couples can choose from over 20 indoor or outdoor venues. The Kamakahonu Beach is well-suited for couples who have always wanted to exchange their vows on a white sand beach. At the Luau Grounds, couples can marvel at the mountain range as well as enjoy the waterfront views as they hold both ceremony and reception. Celebrations held here can comfortably accommodate up to 350 of your loved ones. The Kamakahonu Ballroom, meanwhile, offers an elegant setting for indoor receptions. This space can host up to 350 guests. Its modern design lends itself to easy customization. The ballroom has an adjoining pre-function area that can be used as a get-ready room. More intimate gatherings can be hosted on Honu's Lawn, which offers a front-row seat to both the beach and the island's lush greenery. It can fit up to 200 guests. The hotel has plenty of luxurious rooms and suites available for to-be-weds and their loved ones.

So glad we decided on King Kamehameha's Kona Beach Hotel for our wedding
Melanie made the planning process so easy (we had a wedding planner; shout out to Sunshower Wedding!). We had not been to venue before our wedding, but never had a doubt the day would be amazing. The most stressful part of the planning process was deciding on a drink package!
We had the cocktail hour, ceremony and dance party at the Imu Grounds. It was gorgeous and perfect for our party of 95. Dinner and first dance was at the Luau Grounds timed perfectly at sunset.
We were blessed with a beautiful sunny day (no rain nor was it too hot), but there was a moment the forecast was showing rain. The hotel had a contingency plan for us in case it rained (we found out afterwards that’s not always done). The wedding would have moved into one of their beautiful ballrooms which we would have been quite happy with.

There is no way to completely express the honor and privilege of performing at a location with such historical and spiritual significance. The majesty of the views and chicken skin of the mana never ceases to captivate our team when we arrive for an event. In addition, the aloha and kokua we find working with hotel's long-standing, dedicated employees make every experience a pleasure. And all of this is the behind-the-scenes vendor experience.
